Sadly, from what I experienced as a foreign student in the UK, such rampant racism wouldn't even surprise me at all. It's hard to describe, but when you're part of a minority, you have a weird 6th sense for it, so you can feel its presence even if nobody comes up to you and overtly commits racial hate crime against you. All I can say is in England, the undercurrents of racial hatred (or at least resentment) are much stronger there than for example where I am now in Berlin (can't speak for smaller towns in Germany), or where I grew up in Canada.Quote:
