I just want $300 because I know swings can be brutal. I am going to be 8-10 tabling FR so I will have $200-$250 lined up at all times. I had many 6 buyin downswings and one 16 buyin downswing. This is just about where I'll feel comfortable and can obv move down if I start dropping.Quote:

I like pushaments because I can play many at a time, about 13 per hour right now. Plus, I kind of like the break from ring atm. I still love ring and will be primarily a ring player but imo for someone wanting to grind a micro-roll there is nothing better than sngs. It could just be a personal opinion, but they're always really soft, very basic, and clear bonuses very very fast (much faster than 10nl).
I had a bad run. I know I can beat it but it really did mess with my head! I have beat 50/100nl FR for a decent sample size but never ran into such a bad downswing right off the bat. That just through me off and put things into perspective. I have much more time right now then I did when I was doing Part I of my thread, so I don't see myself quitting. I love following your operation thread and [ envy ] Irish's 75k [ /envy ] thread. Thanks for the support!Quote:

I don't have an overall goal of where I want this to take me but I know one thing, I want to have fun. When I was doing Part I poker became almost like a job to me, and that turned me off. Yes, this is true. I am going to play when I want, not because I have to. I'm really phlegmatic, anytime I think of anything as work, I get really turned off. :lol:Quote:

He uses the money he "won" on stupid things like food, bills, etc... like you mentioned. All in all it is a struggle grinding back up, but it's a lot easier with the end in mind.Quote:

Well while I had a bunch loaded up I snapped a screen shot, which is below (click to enlarge).
http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/3008/sngsqp7.th.jpg
I don't know the exact count as some of the items on the taskbar are tournament lobbies, but according to PT I played for exactly 60 mins and finished with 21 sngs. So I guess my new records stands at 21. It's funny because I had about 2/3 of my total roll in play. This was INSANE. I never once timed out, but I don't think I'll try it again.
Now there's a story to tell and you can shed a tear if you want for me. This was the WORST TIME EVER to try and break my old record.
While I am playing, and the blinds are ranging from 100/200 - 200/400, I notice the cards stop being dealt. I'm like WTF (I had about 15 tournaments still running). I GET FUCKING DISCONNECTED. So I'm like GG CABLE MODEM I HATE YOU. Well, I hit network status and what do I see:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...c4rl/disc2.jpg
My connection was ONLY cut off at Pokerstars. Aim, and every other website worked peachy keen. I was literally sick. Now I know the amount of money inplay at the time (somewhere around $55) is pretty insignificant to most people. However, the amount doesn't matter as I am trying to grind up. That is about half of my total roll. I was devistated.... Well about 5 mins later I get reconnected and I am sitting out at all of my tables. I probably did not even get to hit "I'm Back" on all of them, and was already eliminated out of a few. Keep in mind the blinds were 200/400+ by now and the ones I did get back to I had only a bb or two left. You can't really put a price on how much money I lost, but it's fair to say I lost a lot more than I would have. Because of this, out of these 24 tournaments I only placed itm in 5, 1st 1, 2nd 1, 3rd 3. Blah.
It just sucks because I never had a disconnect problem while playing on pokerstars without it being on my side. When I reconnected no one else was sitting out that I noticed, so I was like WTF?!?! I sent them an e-mail asking them to explain what happened because obviously I did not lose my connection to anything else but Stars. I don't really except much besides a "blah blah blah" response, but meh. It actually makes me nervous to play more donkaments or just playing in general. I don't plan on ever trying to play 20+ again anytime soon, but even if it happened while I play my standard 10 it would suck.
Oh well I guess I'll stop complaining now and play more. If I can get in the green for today I will be a very very happy man.

You know stars tables are resizable right?? Why do you leave them all scattered like that? Is there a method to your madness?
For whatever reason I hate hate hate small tables. I either have 8 full sized windows on my 2 monitors or just let me rip where ever. I tried it because I think I remember vqc saying he use to MT with them all rezied big on one monitor. It works good though because stars will popup each window when it is your turn, one after the other. I don't think I'm going to be playing more than 10 at a time from now on though, it gets too hectic.Quote:

That was the most stressful 45 minutes of my entire life. Still looks cool though. I'm getting really sick of breaking even at micro stakes, it doesn't help your confidence at all. I'm considering throwing $500 on my account and just getting away from this nonsense. Only problem is I don't know what method I would use to deposit.
Ok here is my new idea. If I do not have my $300 goal by March 1 like I have in place, I will deposit so that I am rolled for 25nl. Forget this $3.4 turbo and 10nl nonsense.
whats your BR at now???
id go mad with 18 tables for sure. HU would be crazy shit
Bit late to reply to this but it happened to Anarchoi while 4 tabling a few weeks ago and they refunded the buyin for all tables! Did you actually complain, cos if not do. Those guys are pretty nice. If you did complain and they ignored you then this is pretty irrelevant. So sorryQuote:

Thanks for your concern!

I also have been spewing a lot of FPPs and Full Tilt Points to try and win the 10000 - 1 shot for a WSOP seat. I think I've spent about 7k FPPs and about 1k full tilt points with nothing to show for it. Well since I haven't updated in a while here's how I stand:

FTP Roll: $81.90

I really don't know or can say how dedicated I will be this month, but I am going to make a goal I will be able to hit: 10k hands. So it's 10k March...
My PT got messed up somehow and it's messing up with FTP and Stars hands (I dunno why). I don't really feel like messing around with it atm so my updates will probably just be written, even though I think the graphs look sexy.
Well peace and GL everyone else with an operation thread!
Played about 3 hours today and got in around 1,700 hands of 10nl. I am starting to get use to FTP now and will pretty much play there exclusively, since I have rakeback. Also upped my hands goal to 10k for this month, as I am fast approaching 5k. I was running really really hot until these 2 hands:

I'd rather write it in here then IM someone anyway. :D Let's see, during this 1500 hands session, I got allin preflop TWICE with KK, once with AA, twice with QQ, and once with AKs. I was ahead in every single one of them and lost all except once with QQ. I must be due for an upswing sometime here. :?
Also, I am a pretty mild person. I don't ever really go on tilt or get easily angered. However, today I wanted to reach through my monitor and strangle someone at my table today. I was allin against this certain "villian" four times (of course ahead in all of them) and lost them all. I was in utter disbelief. It wasn't just me, either. The whole sharade started when "villian" called my aipf with his 94o to pwn my AKs. He then went on to destroy the table with his insane luckbox. He had to have been allin about 10 times within a few orbits and won them all. Give me my upswing.
So for my 1500 hand session I broke even. I cleared $15 of my puny $50 bonus that full tilt gave me and calculated that I make about $.01 per hand at 10nl! Also my rakeback provider owes me like $20 (lol) for the month so far. Weeeee I just absolutely love micro grinding. BR is almost at the 300 mark for a shot at 25nl... hope to hit my upswing there.
Anyway, enough of that, here's some numbers:
March Goal: 5,230 Hands
Operation Total: +$200.15
BR: $259.03
939 Hands. Cleared $10 of bonus and made a buyin or so. It makes me feel kinda silly seeing total winnings for a session a tiny $16.50 and having the bb/100 being 8.79. 10nl is teh suck. Next session I play I'm going to dish into some 25nl. Hopefuly I'll run good and never look back. If I start off dropping a few buyins I'm going to have to drop back down and grind it out since my BR is only around 250 right now. It's almost April and I didn't even notice. I have 2 days to play 4k hands so I should have no problems getting the 10k hands goal done.

Oh that reminds me... I know it isn't much at all but I have $50 stuck on Stars right now that I could use on Full Tilt. If anyone has money on FTP and Stars and would like to help me transfer it over I'd appreciate it. PM me or something.
Ok, not a real update but just a change. I had been using the number for total bankroll split between my Stars and Full Tilt accounts. I am now only going to count what is on my FTP account as my bankroll. Taipan168 helped me xfer $50 from stars to ft (thanks again!) so that makes my bankroll now $243.80. I left abour $40 on Stars for Gauntlet games and such. I really don't want to play 25nl and potentially lose over 1/3 of my bankroll (which could easily happen) so I am going to stick to my original plan. I am going to just grind out 10nl until I hit $300 for my first shot. Once I hit $300 I am willing to lose about 4-5 buyins if something goes wrong at 25nl. If all goes according to plan, once I hit $300 my number one goal will be Operation One Kay, which is to grind back up to the four figures mark. Now that I have this all setup I need to make sure I hit my 10k mark for hands in March, so I'm going back to the grind!
BR: $243.80
I so wish that FTP gave me a larger bonus rather than this meisly $50. It is soooo much nicer grinding this out with it. Well anyway, played for about 4 hours and got 1950 hands in. I was up like 4 stacks at one point then lost two huge pots (allin with the best of it both times obv) and had a few coolers (flopped king flush vs ace flush 150 bbs deep). Finished up a little over a buyin  and cleared $20 in bonus. I'm running like 8 bb/100 since I started, which would be nice at any limit... but it's teh suck at 10nl. So need like 2k more hands for the month and a couple more buyins for 25nl.

Number of hands played = teh suck.
So here is where I stand now. BR is ~$475. I was talking to biondino and expressing my frustrations with 10nl and he said he wouldn't mind tossing me an extra $200 for a cushion for 25nl. What a guy! :D So now I am done with this silly 10nl stuff and hopefully I run so good I'll never look back. April might be a busy month for me, it all really depends on what the business requires. My partners and I are modifying the Wrizz and Wrizz Pad, and might switch to a manufacturer instead of us making them ourselves. This would initially cost some time and money getting everything ready, but would cut a lot of time off in the long run. So anyway, I am not going have a hands goal for April (although I am hoping for around 20k :) ). Instead, I am making operation one kay $$.
I remember the first time I hit $1,000 bankroll (after I had lost two deposits of $500 and various $50 of course), it was a nice feeling. So my goal starting April 1 is to get a $1,000 BR. It would be awesome to hit this in April of course, and if I do I will start a new goal, but it isn't set in stone. I figure I can play 20k hands in about 40 hours, so 10 hours per week shouldn't be too far fetched of a goal. Anyway, I'm done rambling and am going to play my first session of 8-tabling 25nl on FTP. Run good plz.
BR: $473.25
nice work, keep it up
I wish I was good at poker.
How's that for an update?
Oh also, I just found out from my Rakeback provider that if I earn any bonuses while playing it is subtracted from my total Rake for the month. So instead of receiving $34.65 for March I'm getting $22.49. I know the amount isn't much, but that is a 35% difference. Is this pretty much the same everywhere or do I just have a crappy deal?
standard
Dip, only major site that didn't do that was Absolute. Ub takes like 30% and Full Tilt takes it all.
keep up the grind man. I feel your pain on spinning your wheels at $10nl. It took me forever to get through, but when you finally hit that $1k/$2k again, it feels even better.
lol nice graph. just keep grindin
LOL @ graph...dude, keep it up. We're all rooting for you.
You know you didnt forget how to play overnight: just stick at it.
