lol, the wsop site has this listed as "phil laak in disguise." awesome
sick!
a guy from another poker forum i post on (boards.ie) is cl!!!!!
When all the dust had settled on the preflop action, Garth Paul's whole stack of 350,000 was in the middle against 350,000 of James McManus' chips. McManus had the best hand with {10-Hearts} {10-Spades}, but he was racing against Paul's {A-Clubs} {Q-Spades}. Both players hit the {A-Spades} {J-Spades} {10-Diamonds} flop. The turn {4-Spades} gave Paul a flush draw to go along with his gutshot straight draw against McManus' set, but the river blanked out the {2-Hearts}. Paul was eliminated on the hand.
McManus is our presumptive chip leader at this time, with approximately 3.4 million in chips.

Thomas Keller Doubles Through Aaron Gordon
Thomas Keller was all in before the flop with pocket nines and was up against Aaron Gordon's {A-Diamonds} {J-Hearts}. Gordon caught a gutshot draw on the {10-Clubs} {5-Spades} {Q-Clubs} flop but the board ran out {2-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} and Keller doubled up.
he's just letting negative variance touch him now so he can run white-hot at the final table.
Looks like Helmuth and Matusow have moved up a bit.. would love to them both FT, great for TV.
Whoever is taking those photos is getting some good shots of the female players still left.
At least 2 hot chicks left :p
Tiffany Michelle= Last Woman Standing
With Lisa Parsons' elimination in 76th place, Poker News' own Tiffany Michelle is officially the last woman standing in the 2008 WSOP Main Event, taking the crown from her good friend, Maria Ho, who did the same in last year's Main Event, where she ultimately finished 38th.
Michelle's stack currently stands at just over 3.4 million.

If she wins the ME then I move my roll permanently to UB.
Aaron Gordon Doubles Through Chino Rheem
With the board reading {Q-Spades} {J-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} on the turn, Aaron Gordon got the remainder of his stack all in against Chino Rheem. Gordon turned over {7-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} for a set, while Rheem needed help with {Q-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}. The river was the {5-Spades} and Rheem's stack was sliced in half. He was left with 2,450,000 while Gordon doubled to 4,500,000.

Craig Marquis Doubles Through Aaron Gordon
Craig Marquis and Felix Osterland saw a flop of {A-Spades} {6-Hearts} {5-Hearts} with two other players. The two got into a raising war that resulted in Marquis's tournament life hanging in the balance. He was all in against Aaron Gordon and the players showed:
Marquis: {A-Clubs} {6-Clubs}
Gordon: {A-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}
It was two pair against two pair with Marquis having the edge. The turn sealed the deal as it came the {6-Diamonds} and Marquis doubled to just over 6,100,000. Gordon was left with about 1,250,000 after the hand.

Our remaining 36 players are all now guaranteed $193,000 for their finish, a pay jump of $38,600.
