i got another homeless story although it probably sucks reading it
the other day i was walking down on 'the corner' going to lunch and homeless guy asked me for spare change. from 30ft away he looks 60 but up close he looks relatively young just with a big beard. i happen to be playing with a couple quarters in my pocket and say 'sure man' and he tells me im gracious or something. he thanks me and i say 'yes sir' and walk away. i leave lunch and i get 5 steps out of the place and he comes at me from a different angle and says in a kinda pitiful voice 'you got any spare change man?'
im kinda dumbfounded at this point. do you think he just wanted more from me or just forgot that he just talked to me? i dont know. a friend calls me a minute or so later and i tell them what just happened and it was odd enough by itself.
BUT thats not all. later that night i was downtown (its like one of those outside malls with lots of bars and stuff) and while sitting outside a wine bar on an outside table, the same guy comes up to me AGAIN. this is like 3 miles away from the spot from that afternoon. amazed I just stare at him and ofc it makes him walk over to me.
'hey man u got any spare change??'
im kinda drunk so i dont mind if it gets awkward.
'man i just gave you 50 cents earlier today outside Qdoba !!! i dont have any more'
him: 'yea man but ..... but........ " (really really pitiful sounding and almost apologetic) "but i spent it all on alcohol." then he puts his finger over his mouth like giving me the sshh sign so i wouldnt tell anyone else he just wants money to buy beer. i laugh and say 'well hope you had fun' and we might have shook hands. feel free to quote this and tell me how much of your time i just wasted.
I don't think I'd shake his hand. Ugh.
yea but what can i say, im a handshaker
come to vegas next year and ill give you at least 4
you shoulda bucked knucks instead
p.s. story wasn't awesome but it definitely wasn't bad either
moment of truth definitly.
I dont think you shook my hand :-(Quote:

There is a wealthy guy on Long Island that stands on the side of the highway begging. He has been doing it for like ten or so years. Someone created him a myspace page, but I don't know what it is.

God dammit. The bitch who lives across the street from me has got to be the biggest diva I've ever heard of. It's so bad that I can hear her bitching loud and clear from across the street even though my windows are closed and so are theirs.

So, I ran like eight miles out into the mountains yesterday. I went up the side of the highway that leads out the front gate of the base. I went about three miles on the road, then wandered off on a random ass hill. I ran a mile and a half or so, and came across what I guessed to be a 20'x20' patch of weed. No joke. Growing right there on the hillside. Now, I have only tried the stuff once, and wouldn't dare touch it while I am in the Marine Corps. I thought about reporting it, but figured that would be a douchebag thing to do. I didn't have a camera with me, but I may go back out there to take a picture for you guys if you want to see it. It's huge and pretty gnarly (I've been trying to use this word today for some reason.)
ok i'm deleting this one, sorry guys
holla
My sister-in-laws family lives up in a sort of mountainous area that is right near an unguarded area of the US border. They would see shit like this all the time. Hells Angels were always cutting through their backyard and shit like that to get to some deals. The two craziest stories they told me:Quote:

Then they look further over the ledge and see this clearing where one side is clean business type looking guys and the other side is bikers. And there were scouts surrounding both groups with rifles looking around to make sure there were no witnesses. So what do they do? They all sit down and kind of half-ass hide and watch this whole thing go down out of curiosity. I would be too scared shitless, this is obviously a big enough coke deal to merrit a bunch of people showing up from both sides and armed guards who I imagine are well trained enough that they can spot some family that stopped by to check out the show. However, story ends there and I consider them really fortunate.
2. Sister-in-law and her sister were hiking along trails back there again. At some point them come across this scruffy type dude lugging a huge backpack. When they cross paths he doesn't look at them or acknowledge them, just looks down and walks straight through them. Sister-in-law has a weird feeling about him and kinda looks back for whatever reason and now he has put down his pack and is running after them with a fucking Rambo knife. They freak out and run and somehow get away unharmed.
There's more but those ones kinda stand out.

As much gadgetry as I have, it's amazing that I know nothing about this. There are only 2 slots that it can go into on my laptop... "expansion port 3" and another slot labeled SD - MS/Pro-MMC-XD.
I can only imagine that one of those bastards goes into one of those slots? Am I right? also, what else can I do with these?

I went to a Capoeira and aerial acrobatics demonstration/house party at some guy I don't know's mansion tonight. I took a lot of cool video of the demonstrations. They also had the Hawaiian national poetry group there, and they did the whole def jam thing, and there was a giant hippie circle, and the whole place reeked of pot. Then, they did more acrobatics, and some fire spinning. It was pretty sweet. I am gonna edit the vid and put it on YouTube.

you make a good argument until you try and provide an example of good beer. Miller isnt absolute crap, but come on, you coulda come up with a better example than that.Quote:

I drink them because they are cheap and I am not wealthy to say the least. Plus, while in college, drinking cheap beer makes all other beers better.
I just don't like Bud Light. Or budweiser for that fact.
yah Im not a bud fan, but geez man you need to expand your horizons. Leinenkugels honey weiss is pretty good I think, I dont particularly like the lager though.
I prefer Miller Lite, but that's what my dad drinks, so I'm sure that's got something to do with it.....
that said.....
I drink to get drunk so I don't give a fuck what it tastes like, sorry guys
everything above has been read (i usually just start reading threads that i've posted in since my last post so i figure i should start doing this periodically so i don't have to reread everything again in the hopes that this thread will ever match the quality of my old thread).
also i want to post a sick insta-call i made earlier.. hand went something like late position opens, i call in one of the blinds with 77, flop is QJ4 or something, I c/r bluff, he calls, turn is Q, check/check, river blanks and i check/insta-call a large bet. I even considered check/minraising to induce shove from obvoius T9 but i didn't pull the trigger on that one.
T9 no good.
i prob wont post it b/c i'll likely forget or lose interest by the next time i post in here
if someone wants to re-post the hand where my 2 card quads loses to 2 card runner runner royal flush though, that's cool

lol i logged onto ap and saw you were playing right before this hand. wheeeeeeeee
holy shit son.. that is ssssssssssssick, puts lukie's silly flopped straight to shame.
How much would you have called on the flop?
Thatta boy. I find people discussing their beer of choice and scoffing at the guys that don't drink a beer that's foreign enough or has an exotic sounding name is kinda dumb. Actually, anyone I've known in real life that makes a point of talking about how superior their beer is to whatever someone else is drinking, is kind of a douche. Not tryng to be an ass and say this applies to any of you (I get the feeling Swig is definately someone that is a genuine connoisseur.) I just feel if the beer is good enough for you to drink all night then it's fine.Quote:
