Ok just finished another session.

Some HH for review:

In this hand, villain is a TAG playing 19/17/6 over a few hundred hands. His flop aggression is 46%. The thing here, is that I only think he reps 22 as he should have a PP in his range a ton, mainly a smaller one. 66 is a possibility. Basically, my range is very inelastic and I perceive him to know this which may be bad? This is my whole thought process and why I played why I did.

Here, villain is playing 17/15/4 over a couple of hundred hands. IMO, by calling OOP his range is heavily towards a PP. I am in the CO so he could throw in like JTs+. What strikes me here is that his aggro. frequency was 38% on the flop and 34% on the turn. This made me believe he was turning his PP into bluffs, as well as his draws/sets so I could call flop and c/rai most turns, preferably if they gave me some more outs. The only way I should call flop is if I have a plan of being aggro. on the turn so I probably should have waited for a better hand.

Hand 1: This looks fine, his range is much more draws than sets. With $26 behind I probably just shove over turn.

Hand 2: I dont like this. I dont think you need to be pushing things like this.

Hand 3: Against 2 bad players I'd just 3-bet pre. Theres no need to get fancy here man. PSB on river? I dunno, I probably size it a bit smaller having got here like this. I bet $5 on flop though, which lets us bet a little more on turn and makes river shove better (not that I plan it from the flop tbh, but its what I'd do and it works out). Bad players who presumably hate to fold, get your value in. I definately go for 3 streets even with the :h: hitting turn though.



Dont go getting crazy trying to make sick reads and advanced plays, get your value when its there and make your plays with some decent equity.

Hand 1. What draws does he have?
Hand 2. What is he trying to represent?
Hand 3. The original guy's stack was $8 to begin with so I might get his stack but I believe flatting gets his stack plus a good chance at the other dude's. $5 on the flop I def. agree with. River was like a PSB but yeah wasn't sure if I just go for a little value or go for it. IMO, his calling range is inelastic (yay for that being my new favorite word) so I figured might as well go for top value.

Basically, what I tend to disagree with more than most is these TAGs having SC in their ranges OOP. In hand 1, I just can't see him limping behind like A4s or something, it seems like I always see an isolation raise or a limp behind when he has a small PP. For hand 2, I'm sure he 3bets JJ/QQ more often than not right? I have the Ac. What is he representing other than 555? It seems like he can be raising with a lot more and my Ahi could be good + I have outs + if he folds I get a nice amount of money.

Hand 1 seems like a shitty place to fastplay a set. He has to hope you have AJ or QQ+ here to get paid. Sure theres a FD on board, but thats it. He doesnt have JJ, and 66 is unlikely from this position. So he can have 22 and rarely 66, but I dont think we can discount SCs entirely. I expect to see a 78s a lot more than an A8s hand here. So its not so much that I put a large number of draws in his range, but more so little of anything else, so as a proportion of his range its large. When you're basically worried about 1 hand (3 combos) it cant be bad to call down with an overpair.

Hand 2, he's pretty much representing AQ, QJ or 55. Thats not really the point. You end up putting your stack in the middle with a shitty hand in a pot where you have very little invested. If you dont want to wait for a big hand to play back at this guy with, at least wait for one with some equity. This just seems like high variance stuff you dont need in your game.

Hand 3 I missed stack sizes (use the converter ;)!!). I guess you have reads/etc on the river, for me v's a std fish I'd bet smaller, but this isnt bad as such. I guess he cant fold an A here which is most of his range.


Hand 1 is tough. I cant put put a single hand in a 19/17s limp behind fish in UTG+1 position range, so we just gotta guess a bit.

Yeah I agree with most of what you said about hand 1 and I ld0 won vs. his 77.

Hand 2 - First of all, AQ is a bluff catcher and I don't think he'd raise the flop. So he's down to QJ and 55. Doesn't this allow him to have like TJ or random PP that are just trying to bluff? If that is the case, don't we have like at least 25% equity + a ton of FE?

People will raise AQ on a drawy board in hand 2. Not everyone all the time, but I wouldnt be surprised by him having that.

Its weird how people do spazzy stuff with PPs, but then again we both dont need to look too far back to when we used to do stuff like that I guess.

I'm not saying hand 2 is terrible, theres some theory behind it obviously, but it is high variance at a time when variance has been affecting you both in results and emotionally lately.

Yeah you are right about most of that. I still think AQ is more of a flat than you think but meh they'll raise some yeah. I broke even in my session today and I'm not too upset over that. Really think I'm playing better and am up like 5.5 buyins this month. Hopefully I continue that trend. Also in the process of upgrading to two monitors again finally. I played with my laptop + external monitor up until I got a desktop this past Christmas so I've been running on 1 for the past 4+ months and that needs to stop. I'm up to 9 tabling and really feeling good with it. This will sound bad, but I'm really hoping to add more tables as I really think this will help my hourly.

Getting set over setted 3 times I believe this month is no fun. Also won, in a 4bet pot, AA vs. Q8 on a Q8x board which is good but come on what horrible play preflop by villain. Also loss KK < AA ld0 also AA < KK fuck that shit allin on the flop too 91% at least. Winning a lot of my flips though. So not really sure if I'm running well or not, EV wise it obv. says I am but I mean he should never have Q8 and set over setted it ridiculous. Still 9 tabling with semi-decent success. One hand I am unsure of because I think villain stacks off lightish at my stakes but if he doesn't it's a clear fold and I lost to the very top of his range so not sure how to even get advice on that. Been playing pretty well, obviously at the highest BR in maybe a year and started out the month on a sick run but today I lost 2/3 of that shit. Don't remember the hands though, will hopefully review tomorrow. I'll be gone Sunday-Thursday with absolutely not playing so hopefully I can win some back tomorrow.

Yeah, thats why I'm not a fan of using all in EV as a guide for how well you're running. A lot of the 'bad luck' or 'good luck' spots arent really included in there.

FU imo. For some reason it says I showed my hand but I did not. Damn HEM doesn't show the same hands in the reports view as the graph which sucks because it shows me down over a buyin today when in fact i somehow scrapped a $2 win. I'm not playing great today and am not running well, nor bad really, just not hitting my sets. I'm sort of seeing more spots when my range is stronger, or more importantly at my stakes when their range is weak as shit. My hand above had to do with history. My HEM didn't save it but on another table like 2 minutes later I stacked the same guy with the nuts vs. his TPTK when it was obvious he was beat. GG me.

Got a new monitor which was bigger than my last (this one is 22in while the other is like 21 which is a weird sized monitor). I am having trouble finding a graphic cards that will fit into my computer since it's a slimcase which sucks but I have a thread in the Tools of Poker for that.

I'm hoping to play a lot soon and actually try mass multitabling which a lot say is a no-no but I'm trying to rack points/rakeback/sometimes I feel like I play better with more tables. I'm actually thinking about doing a 3-day mini marathon but won't really give out the details on how much I plan to play. It's not a shit ton.

At my parents' so just played for fun 2 tabling 50NL capped games where like max. bet is $15. So soft. I lost 3 allin pots in about 125 hands:

1. JJ < AT on a T443tt board allin on the turn
2. 88 < 99 on a 875r board allin on the flop
3. AsTs < Qc8c on a QT4r board allin on the flop after I was the PFR and he had a $11 starting stack. He was aggro. so I didn't mind at all getting it. Turned spiked the A but still gg I lost.

That said, I finished up $20. CHA CHING!

Anyways, I am not sure how to generate traffic for this or even if FTR will allow this, but I need either an ebay gift card of $100 or someone to buy something off ebay for me (external video card) and I will pay them before hand of course. IF you choose to do this, I will ship you an extra $20 for your trouble or help out in other non-sexual ways.

This thread is suffering from a severe lack of updates!

Agreed! I have a few things I want to talk about, not sure how it'll be perceived:

1. I haven't played much at all this month. Maybe 8k hands total. Like 7400 on one computer which has HEM and shows a profit of $680 and then I have like $100 of rakeback. Not sure about the other computer. So solid month winrate wise.
2. I am being theory coached by ISF and finding myself thinking a lot differently about the game in a good way. Some spots come up that are like whoa wtf I can take this line and just dominate villain which is something very cool to do.
3. I am getting an hour of coaching from Renton tomorrow via a sweat. I obviously respect Renton and am pretty pumped about it albeit he seems to be really losing his mind over his recent downswing :( .
4. I am thinking about poker a lot, like always, and it's becoming more fun again than some of my recent posts. I believe it's because of the changes in my play/thought process as stuff actually makes sense again. I have come up with (can't say I invented the idea) a new way of looking at ranges that I visualize in my hand as a spectrum. It's kind of weird and can't really be explained, but it works for me. When I travel a lot and am on the road by myself on 3.5hr drives it's good to create new things to make poker somewhat more simplified.

Anyways (still #4), I have decided that because I am moving in with my parents come June 30th I want to play a ton of poker then and talk/sweat/whatever as I will not have to withdraw nearly as much. To help my boredom as well as ongoing interest, I have decided to coach microstakes like 25NL and below for a cheap price. I'm not really sure what some are trying to charge but I was thinking $25 for 10NL and below and $35 for 25NL. Some may not agree with my decision but I believe I can explain a lot of theories well and give good reasoning to certain lines, etc. I have received one-on-one coaching from some of the highestest players and I am able to pass down concepts and explain them in layman's terms. Not to mention, I talk to other high stakes regs who don't coach me (for money) but help me out tremendously pokerwise. I really think 25NL can easily be beaten and I can help. I looked at my stats over my last 50K hands (all hands on my main computer which I got ~Christmas) and I am a 4.5ptbb/100 winner at 50NL which includes me struggling a lot before talks with ISF, Sauce, Griffey and Nutsinho who obv. make my winrate a ton higher and I have yet to check just those stats out. If this works out, I plan to move to 100NL hopefully permanently. Having a GF is a good way to lose moniez.

Solid month so far even for few hands. Nice stuff.

Probably next month I can sweat some, Ben. Moving out at the end of this month plus traveling basically every weekend from here on out including some week days means not much time for poker at all!

Let's talk about last month. I played a very low volume due to just having fun with friends + traveling to see my girlfriend a lot and staying at her place for days at a time with no internet connection. That said, I spent my alone time on the road (I usually have no driving buddy :( )just constantly thinking about the game which was good. I feel energized about it. I bought an extra monitor and I feel pretty comfortable at least 9 tabling. This means my volume was EXTRA bad considering I played more tables than usual.

Anyways, I have been thinking about different things involving poker, mainly ranges and how to exploit players. Exploiting players has been a pretty good breakthrough for me as I feel very confident in my thinking now that I understand certain concepts. I discovered the "whys" to a ton of things I started doing only because higher stake players told me to do so. This enabled me to look at theory posts in the past by better players and reading their posts and thinking "wow, I actually knew that beforehand". This makes me believe I am thinking much more correctly!

Regarding ranges, I am trying to get better (ld0) at hand reading so I started working on a range spectrum in my head that I try to use both on and off the tables. This has kind of lead me to see deeper into people's ranges and keeps me focused at most times, though I admit to being lazy rarely.

About June. Will keep this short. Can't play much due to the situations mentioned above but I wanted to start a mini-op for using my profit for the first like 10 days of June and using it all on mine and my roommate's going away party but quickly realized that would/should be way too much money. I'm thinking $100, maybe a tad bit more, would suffice to be honest, since it's summer and a ton of people are at home.

That said, I'm up 2.5BI today in 300 hands (end mini-op? maybe). This hand kind of sucked as I am pretty sure I played it correctly. His stats were 8/8 at the time over 30 hands. I'm calling any river bet. I'm trying to decide if I should turn my hand into a bluff on the river or c/c. His hand range should be pretty easy imo.

c/f I think. I dont see a guy like that 2 barrelling without an A.

But he's not going to have an A in his range like ever unless it's AsQs. I put him on 22-JJ/AsQs. Since so few hands on him maybe some higher SC. Flushes and sets would raise the flop almost always. His turn play makes no sense and it seems as if he's bluffing now with a pp, probably with a spade attached, and doesn't know what to do.

30 hands, dont get too tied up. You really dont think he has at least AKo with a spade in his range?

I dunno, I just dont see a nit getting all bluffy here. Even if he has a PP I think the turn bet could be for protection so he's likely to check behind river.

I still put AKo in his PF3betting range but who knows. I obv. didn't expect a bet on the turn unless of course he had AsQs but I have seen people do this a good amount of times with bad hands so I figured I could still be ahead. I agree with your last sentence which brings me back to a similar hand we argued about in this thread on whether or not I bet to get rid of ALL PP instead of letting him win some with TT or JJ.

Cool thing is we just learn that he's terrible and move on. I couldn't tell if lower or higher cards were helping his range so I was like wtf stop being low I believe he has a PP a lot. This is the whole "let's bluff with a PP" deal here.

Yeah, its amazing how often it works that way. I've won a few stacks lately with people doing that and not hitting. Of course when I was running bad it was amazing how often they hit their set on turn/river.

Yay I have already played over half the hands I did as last month (not really a brag). I'm actually semi-close to reaching the same profits as last month already AND I'm running badly EV wise + a lot of +++++EV plays before getting allin that I got sucked out on. That's good news.

Also good news; I (me and keepitstrict) got my computer and the dual monitors working again. Everything is going smoothly and quickly so far, knock on wood.

Not going to Vegas this summer sucks so I have to live through a lot of my friends going there. Just found out that one of my old friends has been dominating lately and will give a few WSOP events a shot. I'm going to be buying some shares from him I think. I think next year I'll get to go.

Anyways, I cashed a check a week ago, before I knew about the whole cashing out thing so I HOPE I get my money or else, well, I will have one unhappy girlfriend haha.

P.S. I play so nitty and am doing quite well. You do not have to go apeshit at this level to win. I'll be at 100NL fulltime next month I'm 83% sure.

Well, this month is going pretty well and I have been playing a lot of poker the past few days because my gf isn't here. I decided to start writing because I am getting a way from some of my good habits and I am starting to lose because of this. I have to admit I am running very poorly lately (only past 2 days which was like 3k hands or so). The bad thing is that I am actually hitting sets on the flop a HUGE amount. They are not getting paid. These are as the PFC. Anyways, I am missing flops hard as the PFR and it's getting to me as everyone is betting me off my hands. Seems like every time I have a JJ or TT type hand an A will hit on the flop and villain will have it. AK isn't hitting many flops and AA lost to J6 on a J94 board allin on the flop vs. a short stack then vs. the same guy I lost with AK vs. his A6 on a AJ92 board, money went on the turn and he spiked his two pair on the river. That's stuff out of my control. It really questions me though. It's like I'm at that time where my cbet bluffs are getting called/raised and my nut hands are causing folds. I think 75% of this is variance BUT I should be picking my spots better.

I haven't gotten a check from June 9th which is pissing me off because I need for the beach when I leave the 26th and I move out after that too so it will be hard to get it if they do actually send it. This is stressing me out because I'm like literally broke. I'm trying to ask my dad for a quick loan and I just ship him the check once it does finally arrive but he's paranoid my money is frozen and likely won't do it :( . He also has been urging me to take off all my money now because of this stuff but I explained to him this website and the people I talk(ed) to daily and how they knew more about this stuff than him and everything is fine.

I had a going away party last night. It was a 50's theme and it went ok. Not too many people I guess because of summer (I live away from most of my friends in the summer) but it was fun. My friend got ridiculously wasted and started chucking things off the balcony so that was interesting.

I'm about to play a 1k hand session unless I go up or down a lot early. I know I should just play through but the last 2 days are tilting me. I DO feel a lot better than normal and have yet to really tilt tbh. I think I am in control much more. Oh yeah, I was the bubble man in the gauntlet after I bet too little and stacks hit his gutshot :(. I felt really good about my play for the most part though. I have a new routine, it is waking up, eating breakfast, taking a shower and then grinding. I have never done this as a routine so it will be nice moving back home and doing all this. Also, right before my grindage I look at a few poker strategy articles/videos.

It's alright buddy, everything will work out in the end....as long as you are still confident in your skills. I like that routine by the way, sounds like a winning formula! As far as the freezing of your money goes, I have nothing to say about that...from what I understand the money will eventually come. I just hope for your sake its sooner than later. Ended my session early. Started losing badly again. Only lost a buyin but I'm just not in the right mindset. I lost a full house to quads, AK < A5, second pair vs. top pair against a donk in a bad manner, got 3 outtered etc. Just not too fun right now. My head feels really heated when this all happens. I hate playing in the mornings but meh may have to sit the night out.

I had one last night with position on a 60/0 with 30% fold to cbet. I must have iso'd with AT+/KJ+ type hands 15 times in a row and whiffed flop every time. Any time I did cbet he'd call and the turn would pair the high card. Frustrating as heck.

Ok sorry but I am very heated. I am on a current 7 buyin downswing. I honestly cannot explain to you how bad this is making me feel. I'd say maybe 1 buyin is from tilt the others just semi-close hands. A TON are me running into the top of someone's range when I have a hand. That crap is absolutely terrible. I play nitty to allow myself a tight range so when I am at showdown I should be winning a TON. I'm not sure if I am quitting for the month as it's absolutely crazy. I was going from my all-time best month now to an unacceptable one.

I only won 2 pots over 40bb and 1 was a suckout allin preflop QQ vs his AA at a capped table. The other was me hitting a set of jacks vs. villains AJ after he called a bet with just 2 overs on the flop sweet finally won one.

Honestly, me getting stuck like this has forced me to ADD tables instead of subtract. I WANT to take the rest of the night off or at least until around midnight and read articles and review every single hand that I played in that wasn't limped to see if I could play differently.

NO overwhelming comments, other than the AJ hand on AT8dd board. Turn and river bricked really hard, and if he was going to bluff he'd prob bluff again on the turn, so I'd say your best bet is to lead river with AJ and he might hero call with lots of hands given draws bricked, tthat won't bet river themselves (ie: Tx, 99, 77 and crap).

Other than that, things will turn around!

Gotcha. My reasoning is that diamonds could be trying to see a free river and then bluffing river. Should they not do this often enough? I guess they'd be more inclined to double barrel.

I'm running better. Just under 4 buyins ABOVE EV today...sigh, but I think most of the plays were still standard. It's becoming very evident that 50NLers do not know what they are doing a lot. I won't name names but one FTRer and then all the other "regs"

Is the computer still running sick? If so , have you checked out the temperatures the components are running at? Whats ambient temperatures like there? Could be that high temperatures are causing some thermal throttling to kick in?
You could try downloading speedfan which will tell you temperatures that your cores are running at , fan speeds etc and cpu-z which will tell you the speed your cores are running at. Heat could be an issue now that summer is here and a slimline case may make things worse . Add in any dust that could be sticking to fans, and blocking heat sinks and airflow and cooling is reduced.

I really think that 'regs' at 50nl are just those who learn enough by rote to beat the micros, but dont understand poker enough to move up. You'll obviously get guys (like yourself) who withdraw too much to move up, and people who are passing through for a couple months building up, but anyone whos a reg at 50nl for too many hands just isnt likely to understand things too well. Hell, I nearly quit poker because I felt stuck at 50nl, I had to turn things up to get past it.

Stick it out man, I want to see you at 100nl next month and 200nl not too long after if you can put off withdrawing much!!

Ok quick update as I am late for stuff and I will be on vacation until the 1st of July. But I lost my biggest pot of the month yesterday against 2 guys, one 100bb the other 60bb and I was 94% when I got the money in. GG variance. A few seconds later I won a 200bb pot hitting a 2 outter so weee for running well again.

Let's talk a bit about last month. I didn't get enough hands in which is a good sign. I played like 14k and am angry. That's rare for me. I was gone for like half of the month too so that's good!

Anyways, I felt like I ran a tad above normal in the beginning then hit a rough patch of cards in the mid-late of the month and then at the very end I think I tilted some but ran well above EV which isn't good. I played a lot like May which I am happy with.

July should be all 100NL. I keep saying that but the truth is that I have already mixed in 50NL. My first day back from vacation I literally didn't care at 50NL and played kind of wild. I lost $100. The past 2 days have gone better, though down $50 in EV and I am up now $255 for the month. So take away the spew-age at the beginning and tack on the EV I should easily be at $400 probably add another $50 for the big hand I lost. I say this because the hand I really lost any EV on was having AJ on a KQTss board and getting it in on a 5x board when villain had AsJs and he hit on the river. I shouldn't think this but I still say I shouldn't have lost the $100. Anyways, enough of that rant.

I am feeling confident about my game. I am still hoping I get coached by ISF in a week or less. We keep missing each other which sucks. Regardless, his past advice has been so eye-opening. I think the #1 thing I am doing better because of him is exploiting each player by having stronger ranges when they're aggressive and weaker ranges when they are passive. Shoring up your ranges like that is sick (so far at least).

I played in a $20HU SNG and dominated. Even after getting it in preflop with AKs to his KK and losing. Felt good. I was able to exploit him a lot.

Used my old PS points (I forgot what they're called) on the HOH series and also the BobboFitos DVD. Only watched a little bit of the DVD but seems decent so far. Nothing really new. I'm interested in getting better at tournaments just in case for the future so the HOH series should help me a lot. I opened up the first volume and everything seemed really basic so I admittedly skipped it. The second volume is the big reason why I got them as I struggle so badly with end game stuff. This is also why I have Mathematics of Poker. Both explain the push/fold game well. I can't keep my hands off of volume II. Seems good...

Speaking of tournaments, I bought a piece off my friend for the WSOP. I know him from another (nonpoker) forum and it was just by chance we both found out about our poker love. He was playing really really low staked tournaments until recently he got on a huge run. I told him I could only give him $50 because I'd like to put more on someone who has played a lot live. Well, we just talked and he only played in 1 WSOP event I think. He barely made it past dinner break playing at a table with Hellmuth, Rousso, Singer and Jeff Madsen. I didn't care about it and was happy he said he had a good time. Turns out he scored huge in a side tournament there and said he's shipping me my $50 back. I'll take it! haha.

I went to the beach last week. It was a lot of fun. Me, my mom, my dad, bro, his girlfriend and my girlfriend all got to go which was cool. Both girlfriends get along greatly and I like my bro's a lot. Mine too, obviously. But, we had a lot of fun on the beach, eating at random places, going to shops, putt-putt, pool, board games, all that good stuff. My uncle half owns Margaritaville currently and used to half own Ocean Pacific and LA Gear so he's extremely rich and we got to stay in his house which was nice and right on the beach. I'll try to scan some photos as my mom doesn't know how to use digital cameras. It was sad to go home and even worse for my bro's GF as her cousin passed away from cancer the day after we got back. She was only 24 and my brother visited her the night before and said it was the saddest sight he has ever seen. Really makes you think. Rest in Peace.

Something I have been trying to do repeatedly, even privately on the beach trip, is coming up with situations and figuring out ways to exploit villain(s) in each spot based on their tendencies. Amazingly, Isura at leggopoker posted a great post in blog about basically what I had been doing, but this time doing it to your sessions. I love the idea. It has forced me to think this way when reviewing as opposed to just individual hands. I'm obviously still going to review only hands as well. Been playing a lot of 100NL after getting a 2 hour session of coaching from ISF. He's sick. Happy bday. But I'm just playing really awful. I'm definitely learning a lot from him but I think the problem is that I am focusing only on what he taught me which is forcing me to not be fully aware of what's going on and making subpar preflop calls and the like. I'm also getting owned by river bets. I'm only down 1.5 buyins in like 1.5k hands AND that includes losing AK < KK preflop as well as a really really horrible played hand by villain allowing me only to lose like 3/4 of a buyin instead of the whole thing (he flatted on the river when I snap-fistpump-call a shove). I've hit quads twice since his coaching. Coincidence? Actually, the other week I hit 2 straight flushes as well.

Anyways, I hope to review some hands and maybe post them here or what not. I need to be a damn winner again before our next session.

Something I noticed as I started to focus on improving my postflop play, was I made the mistake of playing ranges PF that left me no choice except to 'outplay' opponents postflop, which just leads to spew. Now I'm more trying to play solid ranges, and leave creative play as an option for when I miss or feel its profitable to do so.

Villain is a reg who is awful at adjusting and just won a huge stack off of me by winning getting it in with 29% equity on another table. I assume he wouldn't play his full houses like that but could be wrong. His value range is pretty thin right?

Anyone else feel like whenever they try to move up they just get pounded by running below EV as well as getting cold decked? I'm running horribly EV wise and then there's other random crap that are either coolers or wtf I made the right play and how does he have the ONLY hand that beats me and shouldn't even be in his range to begin with even though he's a reg. Running bad, for me, overcomes any confidence I have of getting better even if my EV is below what it should be. I don't care tbh. I just want the money.

What I know about 100NL could be written on the back of a very small matchbox but, either way, it's hard to see what you're doing wrong here. AQ is the only villain hand that makes any sense but is hard to credit. Any other Q holding or K clubs and I'm choking on my own vomit but, hey, that's why I don't play cash :)

Not mention your 100NL run 2 months ago...good for you obviously but sigh for me. I think I'm down 6 buyins in EV at 100NL in like 5k hands which doesn't include the times losing 2nd nuts (as in full houses) to 1st nuts (as in quads). Really frustrating.

I did finally have a good session and am now in the positives again at 100NL this month but meh still down 2 in EV plus some coolers. Shouldn't complain I guess. I have another session with ISF tomorrow which should be really helpful.

Yeah, I know it took me like 3-5 times to break through past $1k (was a moveup point for sngs as well as cash), and had my horrid run after withdrawing, but other than that I've been fortunate to run fairly well whenever I've moved up. I dropped at one point $600 of that $875 over the next few hundred hands, but clawed it back.

2 buyins EV isnt terrible, keep playing well, stick with it. You've got a real chance to knock out $1-2k this month.

I was up $85 2 hours ago now down $180 something. I cannot for the life of me either play good or run good at 100NL. Not sure which one. Lost almost a buyin with KQ vs. a donk on a QJ8Qtt board. He had Q8 of course why wouldn't he? Then some heavy 9% 3bettor 3bets from the BU against UTG and I flat with AK in the SB (not sure what to do here). Flop comes K85r. I c/c. Turn 6. I c/c. River I c/c a shove and he has 65s which yeah that and 76s are what I am afraid of but blah. Literally my graph in the past couple of hours goes downward at a nice and steady pace with a couple of huge drops. I'm so good.

ISF coached me earlier today and didn't really see many problems to how I was playing which is like instantly sweet but I'm down like 3 buyins or so since he started coaching me. This level has so many bad players and it's so frustrating not being a winner. A lot of players at FTR could and probably do have sweet winrates there which I wouldn't doubt at all.

I hate to say it but the money figures are and have always gotten the best of my head. This money I need to withdraw/move up with. Ah. End of rant.

AK hand where you slowplayed and c/c'd down. I'd just c/c river, cause after 3 barrels he's so polarized to a hand that is insta folding with air or probably calling you and has you beat.

I'd prob c/r on a dry rainbow board there pretty small if he's the type to spazz out. If he's just aggro barrels then y our line is good.

Someone give me a reason not to quit when I'm getting set up every fucking hand at fucking 100NL this shit is fucking ridiculous.
