This may be a moot point but I loved the Calvin and Hobbes comics. I used to read them just about every day. This is a poll to see if we can get enough of a vote to allow Rilla the extra 1" to post his comic.

You can't say "no" to a just cause. But all is not lost.
My sig will now place you one click away from the comic strips you loved so dearly.

i am afraid one click is just not g00t enough
I'm the devil.
The Devil in miss Jones
I like the comics myself but I voted no. I don't like having to scroll over to the right to read posts. It nothing against Calvin or Hobbs but the sig is just too big.
And Rilla can't resize images before putting them in his sig because...?
He's too busy.Quote:

I'm sure he could, and its not specific to rilla its all the big sigs in general.Quote:

grab a copy of irfanview free simple program for viewing anything, and it comes with many simple editing tools.

I don't know if he'll be able to just stretch/skew and still be able to read the captions.Quote:

That doesn't work.
test rescale image:

...no it doesn't work for me either :(
...it works on some other forums though
Resized in about 30 seconds with paint via the method described above:

Umm...why didn't that show up?
Edit: Fixed. Apparently having "&" in the filename makes BB say "that's not an image"
M'alright. I'll resize em.

That must be a mod. I've seen similar mods that resize sig images automatically to a pre-defined size. You guys want this?Quote:

The best quote at the work lunchtable is:
Carl asks Homer for his autograph becuase some TV sitcom started and the main characters name is Homer Simpson.
Homer: Name?
Carl: Homer, we've known each other for years.
Homer: *blank stare*
Carl: It's Carl.
They start talking and the next thing Homer says is...
Homer: That's right *looks back at autographed photo* Carl.

wrong again rilla
the best is when Homer and Bart go to the post office to pick up something that had been sent to Mr. Burns:
Homer: (to the post office guy) Hi. My name is Mr. Burns, I believe you have a Letter for me.
Post Office Guy: Ok Mr. Burns, what's your first name?
Homer: I don't know.
haha. the way he says I dont know slays me

The quote you started with where Carl was using his world of the day toilet paper was a scene at the work lunchtable. Since I can't say,"This scene is the best scene ever" for my scene I said it was the best quote from the same setting, the work lunchtable. Then you brought up a better quote, from a different setting.

got ya.
i didnt catch that part.
you win
Yay!

rilla you watch simpsons real goot. Im proud of you.
Back in high school, we used to quiz one of my friends on all sorts of simpsons questions and he'd always know the answer. I remember, the only one that kinda stumped him for a minute or two was from the episode where the family joins a cult, Bart has some kit for mischief. I asked what the name of the kit was and he actually had to think about it. I was proud of myself.Quote:
