Freerolls
I want to build my first bankroll through freerolls, so that after a lot of experience I can put my own money onto the poker sites and play well with it.
I have played a few sites with freerolls, like Pacific Poker, where I came 1st of 1000 to win a seat to a 30k Gurranteed tournament. Well.. didn't do to well in that and came around 200th of 800.
I noticed empire has $500 freerolls but with restricted registration. How do I register to them?
And what are the best sites for freerolls? Pokerstars have ones where you can win a seat to a $500 freeroll but over 5000 player register, so it's hard..

you can try vc poker, but you need action points i finished 6th in the $150 freeroll got my self $15.

You get action points by playing real money though don't you? I'm looking for a freeroll where you can play without having to deposit money first :\

I am not 100% sure but i think Poker Stars has one or two free rolls per week for real cash.

CheckNRaisePoker.com has freerolls that pay in small cash, but has no entry requirements. Usually 130-180 players, with 1 game in the morning and one game at night most days. I'm pretty novice and I've been doing okay in these, though no wins ITM. Tables play loose and agressive in general, as you'd guess with play money.

in cheap freerolls, <$300, you'll probably have to get lucky 2-3 times to get 1st. I know because i've played in probably about 50 of them, $250-350 range and placed 1st-18th. As the blinds get ridiculously high, it turns into a coinflip who will win 1st usually.
If you're shortstack at the final table, and hit AA, that could be the difference between 9th or 1st.

Going back to VC, as somebody mentioned
You can play entirely for free for real money, but admittedly only to a small degree.
There are two ways of going about this.
1) They run MTT $2 giveaways every couple of hours or something. Not exactly a lot of money, but it doesn't cost you a thing. This is for Omaha Hi/Lo (and sometimes for normal Omaha). You tend to get a couple of hundred of people entering each time.
2) If you are a student then VC will give you 5 pounds for free when you sign up. This should keep you going for a while on VC's low stakes STT's. It's a bit pot luck as to how soon VC get round to depositting your money (I had to wait a month, but my friend got it in a day ish).
