The term nut or nuts refer's to the best possible hand at any given time, or the best possible of a given type of hand at a given time. So if you were holding 98 and the flop was 765 you would be holding the nut straight. If you were holding A:heart: J:heart: and the flop was 2:heart: 8:heart: K:club: you would be holding a nut flush draw.

having KQ suited against a Js,10s,x flop is the absolute nut draw
