Last night i was having a big problem with my big pairs...Im wondering if any of you guys will lay down KK or QQ preflop in any situation? I was playing .05 and .10 on pstars, and i would get KK or QQ, raise, get re-raised, and then i would re-raise all in, get called, and lose to a higher pair. It was quite frustrating that someone happened to have an overpair to my KK or QQ.
With QQ you need position to reraise all-in.
But I think it's just a bad run. These are the hands everyone is waiting for, and when you get 'em you gotta push back when pushed. Unless you KNOW the opp is tight enough to fold anything but the big pairs and AK in the face of such a raise. At .05/.10 there are very few such players.
Yes, I will (and have) fold queens if I there's a bunch of raise/re-raise stuff going on pre-flop. I will usually not fold kings. The chance of someone having aces vs. your kings is low enough that it's worth the risk to just push all in and hope for the best. Queens are more vulnerable, particularly since AK is basically a coinfip vs. you, and you'd think that's the minimum hand someone would be in there raising and re-raising with.
Yea need to fold QQ when you think your beat.
yea i was telling myself last night when it was happening that it had to be a bad run because the chances cant be good that someone will have an overpair to my qq or kk as much as they did...thx guys.
I thought once you re-raised all-in, position was irrelevant. Can you explain this, please?Quote:

Position matters before you push all in because obviously, then you flip em over and throw down the board.
The position is referring to when you decide to push em in.
