I understand that w/ browsing threads by time posted, threads are shown that may have been deleted. How do they get bumped up the list every once in a while, like a response was made to it, if it's not there.

Threads arn't deleted.
They are stored in a cryogenic freezing chamber and shipped over to our scientists for analysis. They sift through the threads with a fine-toothed comb, scientifically-speaking of course, and crunch it into hard data for stupidity, spammage, flamming, etc. Just to name a few. Then this information is shipped off to the government of the United States who pumps it through some bureaucratic hog-wash and slaps a dollar sign on it. Then FTR is compensated for having to endure such stupidity/spammage/flamming/etc and also for removing it from the eyes of the pure and untainted masses (you nice folk). In the end, everyone has a gay old time about it.
THAT is why threads are bumped upon deletion, my friend.

Just wondering...I retartadly keep clicking on them w/ I see them get bumped, thinking they'll be there this time...but I can stop...really I can...I don't have a problem...I didn't really want to see it anyway :)
Hey Linker,
What you are probably seeing are links to forums that you do not have access to. Yes, we have some secret forums that only special people are allowed to see. And the poker information in those forums is probably the best you'll find on the net.
Seriously.
So you're probably wondering how you can learn the secret handshake...
Be an active member of FTR. Contribute information, participate in the forums, and we will notice it. And some day, when you least expect it, you too can become one of our premium members. There is no price you can pay to gain entry, because it's priceless. Ok, so I laid it on pretty thick right there, but that's the truth, we review and invite certain members on a regular basis. So stick around and contribute to our forums and activities. Later.
Good try ttanaka. But I don't believe you.
I think 'rilla is right.
There are also some obvious administrative threads that appear in that list from time to time which even IC members don't have access to.
