What could I have done differently
I could really use some advice here. We have a weekly game on Tuesday Nights. It's a 5 buyin and everyone gets 1500 in chips. About as low stakes as you can get. The blinds start at 10/20 and double everytime someone bust out. Last night there were seven playing. I can usually beat most of the players at our game with one exception, my wife to be. She plays extremely Loose and Passive. She will see a flop with almost any two cards goes to the river way too much. It should be a cake walk beating her, but she catches cards on the river like she has a net. Last night I tried to just stay out of her way. She doesn't catch the miracle cards with everyone else as often so If I wait, she will usually bust out, then I can do well against the rest of the pack. Here is what happened last night. I am in the BB. We had been playing for awhile but no one had busted out yet so the blinds were 10/20. I look down to see pocket eights. All but two checked around to me. I check as well. The flop comes 8 9 4 unsuited. Everyone Checked to the Small Blind (my Fiance). She raises 100. I didn't want any straights to blow out my trips so I raise to 300 to isolate the Small Blind. Everyone folds and she calls. Next card comes a second 4. I made the Full House. She raises 200. I know that she will not walk away from two pair so I push all in (another 700 and change). She calls. She turns over a 94. You know the rest river comes a 9 and she blows my Full house out. I can never put her on a hand because she will play anything. I keep telling myself that the odds will catch up with her, and try to play correctly. I usually go head to head with her with the best of it then get sucked out. I have tried being aggressive with my strong hands against her, but she will not be pushed out. My latest strategy with her is to be loose before the flop and tight aggressive post flop when I feel I am ahead. Any advice would be apprieciated.

I think we're missing the obvious. There are two possibilities, my friend.
1. Your perception is that she is catching miracles against you on every river, whereas the reality is that you -- like most players -- don't like losing and are therefore remembering the bad beats, or...
2. She's a witch -- burn her!

She could be a witch. Seriously, in the last month, she has busted me out of just about every game I have not finished 1st or 2nd. When I am not in the pot whe will often show second pair, bottom pair or top pair. I know when she is betting, she has at least second pair and I don't get envolved unless I know I can beat at least top pair. It is not uncommon for her to catch the second pair on the river. I think I am going to simply give her credit for a Monster every time she bets and run. I like the idea earlier of constantly mini raising her and folding when she fires bets back, but it seems like she could catch on after a while. No my plan is to just keep working on my calculations I am getting stronger with calculating the odds, but need to work on identifing my "True" outs. For example, I think I have been over counting my outs from time to time because I don't alway see when an out actually puts a scare card on the board giving the other players a redraw against me. I am still early in my learning curve . I just need to keep telling myself that in the long run the odds will catch up with her if I am doing the math right. Time will tell.

And THAT is the momment when I stopped reading your post, knightwalker. The future just doesn't bode well when you open up with the words "She", "witch" and "month."
