Would you play A suited with anything if you could see the flop cheap. I don't know if this is proper, but it would seem to me to have some value, since if you do flop 2 or 3 cards to the flush the Ace gives you a shot at the nut hand which you could extract some money from?
I will play Axs and Kxs from the blinds and from the last 3 positions at a 10 person table. But if someone raises it, I will consider folding.
This as everything, it a dependent rule. If I have a maniac acting after me, I may lay it down, because I am sure it will be raised. etc.
Always fold to a raise, if in late position consider raising it and taking control of the hand. If you're not feeling agressive, just limp and see if you can put something together.

it's all situation dependent. if UTG raises, and then 4 people cold call when it comes to me i'll gladly call knowing i'm already getting 5:1 for my call, and the pot will be enormous if my flush hits.
A dont like the small suited ace cus I never make a flush with it. And eventough you might make flush draws from time to time its almost always someone shuting you out with a to big bet. Thats the rule in raised pots, but this hand dont play good in unraised pots eather cus there is seldom anyone willing to pay a flush of in an unraised pot, if they dont have the lower flush and how often does that happend? Play it cheap and and only in good positon even at a passive tabel. Of course like hypermagachi said, you can play it with a lot of money in the pot and good position, but prefer the raiser to be somewhat passive, then it might work. And one more thing dont trust the a pair of Aces with this hand if you dont have a good read and a lot of weakness.
I only play NL tournaments though, might be big differences in ring games where the blinds are tiny vs big stack size.

I would probably limp with AXs preflop, but only if unraised.
I don't really like anything K9s and below though, but that's just me.
I'd kinda look at it this way for my game since I'm mostly playing SnG's and MTT's...
-AKs Raise pre-flop from any position (what else is there to say about AKs that hasn't already been said), AQ-A10 Limp in early position, raise in late position (read dependent of course). Calling re-raises pre-flop, depends on the situation.
-A5s-A2s Limp in any position if it can be done (fold if reraises are about). W/ a good read on a table maybe raise on the button for a blind steal and if I'm called I'll see where I'm at.
-A9s-A6s These seem to be problem hands for me because there are no 3 card connectors for straights just 4 card possibilities so basically whenyou are playing these types of hands you are subconsciencely (or consciencely) ONLY playing for the flush. Since you should always be looking for as many out has possible to make your best hand, and if you want to limp in w/these hands that's ok but not all the time.
On a side note I personally hate A6s or o/s and I feel it to be the devil. :evil:

From a limit perspective:
Position and table-type matter.
For my post, in the Axs notation, x <= 7
A loose-passive table I'll limp with Axs from anywhere. Hell, I'll limp with Kxs from MP or later.
A tight passive table I'll raise from MP or later and take control of the hand. Otherwise fold preflop unless 2 or more have called, as the pot won't be big enough to be worth it.
A tight-aggressive table I'll fold anything lower than ATs from anywhere but on the button or the CO. Even in the blinds, if I've got something like A2s I'll fold it to a single raise. Getting caught out of position with bad cards is not a good thing. (With Axs in the blinds unraised, play VERY carefully after the flop and don't get trapped.)
A loose-aggressive table (wild game) I'll fold Axs from any position as you want to catch a flush draw as cheaply as possible and if 5-6 people are ramming and jamming before the flop, you'll go through your stack sometimes before catching that elusive flush draw.
