Flop the 2nd nuts--what to do?

Live game 1/2 300 max. very loose table. Tropicana AC.

Me- late middle position with J9o, I limp
guy to my left raises to 10, 6 callers back to me, probably should fold, but theres alot of $ in the pot.


Flop comes
Kc Qd 10c

SB bets 20
I raise to 60
2 callers, SB folds

turn
7h

I bet 100

guy to my left (pre-flop raiser) raises all in for 220

button thinks for 10 minutes and finally folds.

I have no read on this guy because he just got to the table.

What do you do here?

I would prefer not to hear "fold pre flop". I know this would have been the preferred play.

well he raised preflop so this could mean a couple of things, he could have a pocket pair, AK-AJ, maybe even a couple of KQ-KT. Or he could just be trying to cut the field down from the 6 people in the pot. On the flop the betting was fine, when you raised that much on the turn, i belive he was prob thinking you wouldnt have the straight so why not push, i mean why would he think you would stay in on J9??? he couldnt. I would have to put him on two pair or a set, maybe even AK which would give him top pair top kicker nut straight draw. I would have to say call in this situation. The only other hand that he could have that would beat yours is AJ, i belive that if he had the top straight he would have tried to smooth call, i mean i dont think if he had the straight he would want to push on the turn since there is still a flush draw out there. So if i was him and i did have the nuts i would have waited till the river to see if the flush was completed. Responses anyone??

I'd most likely easily call here. As Mony said there is no flush draws out there and he most likely thinks that he is narrowing the field and chances of someone catching a straight against his two pair / trips. Call in this situation.

No way you lay this down. If he has AJo, you're paying him off. AK/KK/QQ/TT is more likely. Pray the board doesn't pair!

He wasn't stupid, I don't think anyway; he just figured you wouldn't be in there with J 9. (Although you might have been in there with A J. But again, most players, even smart ones, don't expect you to flop a straight when you need non-connecting cards to hit it, and there were pre-flop raises that should have weeded you out.) He probably thought you had something like top pair and top kicker, or maybe a diff. two pair than his... hell maybe even the same two pair.

It's hard for any opponent to read a made straight when the cards needed to make it are kind of strange.

By the way, what better time to limp in with connectors then when you have 6 limpers. Nothing wrong with that. It worked out perfect but I always dread being on bottom end of the str8.
