betting the low end of board like that is always tricky even if you flopped the straight.
chances are if there are several others in the hand someone is going to be on the draw with the top end
ex: you had 3/4 and the flop was 5/6/7
if there are 3 others in the hand its safe to assume that someone (if they are betting or calling) has an 8....you are screwed with a 9 on the turn or the river...and someone holding a 9 will slam you with an 8 falling
also consider that if anyone with a 8 sees another 4 fall...you are screwed again
point being that even flopping the straight here is risky with the low end if there are 2 or more in the hand with you.
