is it something to avoid? I see people do this all the time to get nailed by
sets,hidden PP, etc...., I am never bount to ai with TPTK when I want to
make it incorrect for drawers to call (a good move?) only..
under what situation is it correct to go ai with 2 pair?
I thin I heard once that 2 pair is the average winning hand in game of holdem.
It depends on where you are in your game. I'm not going all-in with TPTK every time I get it, but I may go all in with it. I may go all-in on 2 pair, but not if I hold pocket 3s and AAT is on the board. Look out for other people.
The most important thing is to analyze the board. What else could be out there? Straight? Straight draw? Flush? Flush Draw? Paired board. Hen look how others bet.
Usually if you go all in on TPTK or 2 pair and it's early in a tournament or in a ring game, you don't want a caller.
Throw in over-pairs too.
It depends on how much money was left behind after the pre-flop action and the number of players that saw the flop. If the pot was raised pre-flop, the stacks are short compared to the blinds, and/or you're dealing with a very aggressive opponent you should be going all-in with TPTKish hands or worse! As the players get more passive, stacks taller, the pot unraised and as more players see the flop then your standards for hands you're willing to go all the way with need to raise.
Yet another reason not to limp with hands like ATo, QTo, etc...
