note to self: if rippy isn't raising, he probably has a hand. (i'm thinking it was more the flush you were worried about)Quote:

Good job on winnin the tourny...usually it's me as the caller and folder. I had a few questions about this. When I play SnG's this happens a lot. I'll have a medium stack and the big stacks will raise me to steal the blinds. When this happens and I don't have crap for cards should I re-raise or fold? Also, if you were to raise pre-flop and he bet fairly high on the flop and you missed completely, would you fold or re-raise? I don't play NL and I know it's a completely different ball game than limit. I was just wanting some thoughts on this as I'm fairly new to hold em' and this forum in general. Thanks.
Thats hard to say. If I think he is raising just to steel the blinds, and I had a hand that is somewhat playable in heads up play, I will re raise. If I have complete crap, I will usually fold. Calling is not really an option, if your hand is good enough to call then I would re-raise.Quote:

504846568 - Tough call on the river. Value raise might work here.
504847757 - Why go over the top for a ~100 chip pot? He clearly likes his hand and you have a big chip lead. I'd fold or see a flop here. Just because you're the chip leader, it doesn't make you Santa Clause. Also, with the way you can grind him out why gamble here?

Good HU players have much greater winrates then FR or 6max players. How's that for a gamble?
And how do you manage to dig out 7 year old topic?
