Hand 4:

Short table, playing K4s on a limp. Amazing flop of top pair no kicker and a flush draw. Player1 seems to be a solid player and raises the flop way over the top of your token bet.

I would call, hand 1 and fold hand 2

Hand 1 no one raised pre-flop so your A J kicker is probably good unless someone limped in on a big hand. Not sure about play on the turn/river though the answer should be easy depending on your flop action, this i think is where i need to improve my game. I'd be hoping for a similar raise on the turn, if there wasn't one i'd probably check in a new game and try to see the hand out cheap.


Hand 2 looks like an easy fold, KK 4 kicker, he bet very strongly like he has the nuts so allthough unlikely i'd put him on 1 of the big 3 hands. The flush draw is not to the nuts and the pot odds don't warrant it and the implied odds dont either.

Well thats my veiw, i prolly have them both backwards though :P

Hand #1
Without any info on the players I'd usually play more cautious against them.
But seeing as I have time to sit and analyze this hand I've convinced myself to make the raise.. My first thought was a call but iv'e come to the point where I want to raise now.

There are are a couple hands I could see him having.
AK i'm going to eliminate because of hte No preflop raise.
AQ i'm going to treat like AK and drop to the no preflop raise.

A2,22
What are the odds of a baby pair flopping a set? How about the odds that a player having a pair when there is alreayd one on the board? too small for me.
That leaves A2, yep this is the hand thats going to beat you..

Raise it to 8. Maybe he'll go over the top with 2 pair A2.
But without that you've got no reason to believe your top pair J kicker is no good.



Hand #2
Fold it, Let him take down the $2.25 pot with is over the top raise. It looks like he's trying to protect a hand, probably second pair.
Let him think he can bully you around and take him down in a later hand.

Hand #3
I could marginally see calling for $2, you could luck into a nut flush draw, or possibly even be ahead. Would depend on the players, I've seen some morons limp in with Qx then raise, or raise hitting A w/medium kicker(i.e. not a 2). I also would agree more than likely he doesn't have AA, AQ, or QQ. The raise and call would bother me, though. Fold if you know they are decent players.

Hand #2
Don't see how you can do anything but fold. If he's betting a lower quality hand that hard(or totally bluffing), he will get his eventually. Most likely he has a better kicker or hit a set. I'd let him walk with that raise.

I would call.

I think i would fold, because there was no preflop action i assume he hit his set and now is trying to protect it against the flush draw.

hand 1 - I don't like having so many people in this pot but i'd probably call that minimum raise but I'd be very careful and probably fold if he shows more aggression.

hand 2 - I'd probably raise this on the button to begin with, but in the above scenario i'd fold.

Hand 3:

Two things made me think my top pair Jack kicker was no good. Player9 made a minimum raise, it wasn't a screw off I have top pair raise. He probably wanted me to pay more money. Player10 then cold calls with the only draw out the gutshot Ace high straight, so both probably have made hands. To take this hand down I would probably need to beat both of them. Pair of Aces Jack kicker wasn't looking so hot. Calling for the turn to make more informed decision was a possiblity, but Player9's money wasn't very deep. A certain champ once said when raised it's usually best to re-raise or fold, so I decided to fold.

The finish is great. A3s sucks out A2s for a better 2 pair. I would have made my runner runner flush. In retrospect, it probably still was a great fold, since with the Queen out, if the board pairs up my kicker doesn't play so I would split with the other ace hands limiting my outs to win to just any jack or running spades. Although that didn't occur to me at the time...

Hand 4:

I was curious to see what you all thought of this one.

That raise just screams top pair, don't you dare draw out on me. I figured if he had me outkicked I still would not be much worse off than even money to win the hand (turns out I'm a 45/55 dog.) After the flop any 4 or club would cinch the hand for me (12 outs.) He also could have had Ace X of clubs semi-bluffing big with the flush draw and an over (another close to even money situation if I didn't have 2 clubs, so in this case I would have the best of it.) If he had a set on the flop (worst possible situation), I would expect a more callable raise.

So I pushed all-in figuring that if 1 of 20 times he has a weaker hand or folds, it's profit. Otherwise I'm making a call in a pretty close to break even situation (given the money already in the pot) to show that I won't be pushed around too easily.

He called and I hit my draw.
