White Man Shoots Black Police Chief Four Times and Walks Free

That's the title of this news article that's making the rounds right now.

Cliff notes:

0. Someone calls in a bomb threat to what's basically a preschool.
1. The police chief and whoever else busts into a dude's house who they think did it without a search warrant.
2. The dude shoots the police chief a few times. Chief would have died if he didn't have on a vest [before breaking into someone's house illegally].
3. Dude surrenders immediately after he realizes they are police.
4. Cops are saying this isn't the guy who made the phone call.

I thought you guys would get a kick out of this.

Heh. How did this guy shoot a cop and is still alive? Apparently he did not go for the cop's gun, he had his own. Maybe that's the secret?

From what I've pieced together, I think the chief was the only cop in the room when the shots were fired, and the guy dropped the gun immediately after realizing they were cops, possibly before anyone else entered the room.

Wow, you would think the cop would have got off a few rounds after being shot at. Homeowner very lucky his favor wasn't returned.
