Newbie to FTR

Hi all,
I go by KD, and I'm a 50 yr old family man (wife, 3 kids).
I play any type of poker, but my favorite is the standard Texas holdem, with limit 7-stud a good second.
Been playing since I was in my teens, but have played more seriously over the last decade(ish). I play at Carbon, Bovada, ACR and BCP, but only small stakes that I win in freerolls. I don't want to commit any real money to any online site until it's more generally accepted (legal). I also play tavern poker on Tuesday nights (poker is illegal in NC). I sometimes play a home game for $1/$2 stakes on Fridays.

I'm looking forward to hanging out at FTR.

Sounds like you thoroughly enjoy the game and it's good you're getting some online hands in via the rooms available in your area.
