50nl: Good spot for a bluff?

How about flop? My thinking was that nobody would c/r this flop texture with big overpairs, sets and draws and villain pretty much defines himself as air. I guess there's an argument for checking back with a gut shot and 2 overs, but I would normally bet my entire range when checked to here, as villain's c/f with a high frequency at this stake on wet textures. How about the sizing?

Should the fact villain timed down before c/raising flop sway us more towards the flop 3bet?

Villain is 0/0 after 4 hands and assumed not terrible.

I don't hate this. Villain's line is questionable, if he has an overpair why the hell is he giving hero chance to peel on this flop? Nah this is fishy as hell and I expect to see a lot of air like AQ AK etc in villain's range. I think he folds a lot here, and doesn't jam much. I feel overpairs and sets are gonna flat flop and check turn pretty often when he has them to try to keep bluffs in hero's range, giving us a free river. And when villain does 4b, it's an easy fold. Folding to c/r obviously isn't going to be horrible vs unknown, but I definitely feel villain's line is dodgy enough to put him under pressure.

So we have one dislike, one okay - anybody else?

There are some good hands in your range for doing this, and T9 without a flush draw is not one of them. Also, your 3-bet size is a little small imo.

It's a terrible bluff, for a terrible size. If you want to bluff, use position and call the raise, betting turns when checked to. You'll be able to credibly rep any 3, 5, or heart, and make the nuts on an 8, potentially winning a big pot if he were c/ring an oesd on the flop.

As for sizing, making it like 11.50 would be sufficient, because he either is bluffing and has nothing, or he's not and he'll never fold no matter your size.

You need to think about what you represent when you bluff. A 3-bet bluff here reps only a set or a big draw, which you'll have a pretty small percentage of the time here. With his c/r he's repping a huge hand like KK+ or a semibluff, or a bluff. You'll only fold out the pure bluffs with this 3-bet.

Pre is fine, this is mega spew this deep imo.

I think beginners too often take lines that negate their positional advantage. You have position, I wouldn't hate it if none of your continuing range even jammed over his flop c/r.

There's really nothing wrong with b/c all of your FD's, sets, overpairs, OESD etc with position here. Presumably if you are b/c a lot of FD's here than villain can't just rampant bet all flush turns, so floating now with your gutter also has some more room to maneuver.
