Having a look around for a couple of new decks of cards but I am struggling to find some that I think will be suitable.
I have bought too many decks of cards that just haven't done what I needed them to do, such as not bending back into shape when people are looking at their cards, or people claiming the cards are poker-sized when they are actually bridge-sized.
Can anyone recommend/send me a link for good quality poker cards please. Thanking you.
Buy only 100% plastic, you find a bunch at amazon. None of them should bend back.
Buy them from pokerstars.

These are quite resilient to bending, as long as no one folds a crease in one. They also can take a spill without being damaged or marked.
Only downside: Their added lifespan means you will probably want to clean them (instead of throw them away and replace them) at least once or twice (if not many times). Cleaning and drying a deck of cards is a tedious chore (by my standards), but well worth it, in the long run.
The Stars set I have is almost bang on 2.5 inches wide - might be the best route to go down.
I have copag and del negro. The copag are good, but my non card connoisseur friends found them slippery, although I thought they were fine. I really like del negro, they feel like "normal" cards. I bought both over 5 years ago, so take this with a grain of salt (both were <50% the cost of KEM at the time)
I'm a bit of a freak and have too many plastic decks for my own good.
Copag are OK, but there are better. There's a problem with them that the colour fades with time. My preference is a slightly thicker card with a bit more texture. Modiano was the first set I bought with two decks and do like them a lot, also I like how they look visually, but it's a really close one between these and Fournier. The local casino also uses Fournier and I can understand why. Very pleasant IMO to use. Just don't buy KEM.
I also have the Pokerstars bridge-sized Copag set with the red and blue backs. I'm not a huge fan of the bridge size, but the cards are nice and have a pretty design. The design is nicer than the single poker-sized PS deck I recently received in the mail from Pascal as a prize for a Gauntlet thing, the one with the spades pointing towards each other.
If you can get a cheap source on a good Fournier deck (I only have weird branded decks - ongame and so on, and hardly use them at home but as I said, regularly in the local live game) I would try that, or go with my Modiano, which I've used the most at home and very happy with. I still have to try Dal Negro, but I've heard they're rather similar to Modiano? Both Italian-made.
I would add, the choice between Modiano and Fournier would be how papery or slippery you like 'em. Modiano definitely has the more papery texture out of the two. Modiano has a more rounded characteristc font on the pips, Fournier more square/angular, POSSIBLY easier to read from a distance. PM me if you want pictures ;D
Hmm, just looking up local prices. The Modianos I have are NOT the acetate ones (more durable they say, but more expensive too), but from their classic lineup. Similar to this:

But with a slightly different back design and with the jumbo pips (always go with jumbo pips). For this price I'm taking these over the Fourniers any day, which from the same shop are 20 euros for a set. Unless you go with the green Pokerroom branded ones, which I have.
