TT not looking so good.

Hey peeps, need to get back into posting some hands so here is a start.

This one i have villain 18/18/8 over 100 hands with 20vpip (4/20) in EP. Not sure what has stacking off with here, they're capable of calling a 3bet with 33/55 to set mine, and I can't find much in there turn range other than complete air.

SB posts SB $0.05, BB posts BB $0.10

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.15) Hero has T:club: T:spade:

UTG raises to $0.30, fold, Hero raises to $0.90, fold, fold, fold, fold, UTG calls $0.60

Flop: ($1.95, 2 players) 5:diamond: 3:club: 5:heart:
UTG checks, Hero bets $0.90, UTG raises to $3.00, Hero calls $2.10

Turn: ($7.95, 2 players) 8:heart:
UTG bets $6.19 and is all-in, Hero??


Pretty sure fold is gold, there just ain't much i beat. Also thoughts on just flatting pre?

This is definitely a tough spot. They could easily have an overpair as well.

However, the check-raise on the 535 flop could easily represent a pocket pair that is higher than 5, and then the villain was going to go all-in no matter what the turn was. I guess that only has you beating 66, 77, and 99 at this point.

Fold is probably best. As for pre-flop, I think you've gotta re-raise it. A call would give everybody else good odds to see a flop, and when you do that, as soon as on overcard hits the board, you are left guessing with TT.

I flat pre, really don't like 3betting. Is it for value or is it a bluff? If it's for value I think you're wrong, I think it's pretty unlikely you're ahead of his continuing to 3bet range in this spot, unless you have some read that he flips out vs. 3bets.

The problem with the flop is your sizing was so small that he could have read it as weak and decided to attack it, maybe with his entire continuing range which is probably something like 88+, AQ+ or something along those lines, but TBH I think this is more for value from JJ+ than bluffs.

I'm folding the turn, looks like we're crushed. Even 88 just got there, and any overcard BD flush draw flip outs (which I don't think he has many of here) picked up equity.

What did you want to see on the turn after you called his flop raise??

Against an unknown at 10nl how do you play TT postflop when there is just a J, Q, K or A (just one and the rest <T) on a range of dry flops (i.e. Ks8d2h) and more wet boards (i.e. Qd9d8h)?

Yeah on the flop was sort of an insta i've got an overpair can't fold and called without much thought. I reckon that a call is the worst on the flop. I'm thinking flatting pre is also better, given his range but I find myself trying to prevent a multiway pot when there is a raise call in EP. Which I know is fairly counter productive, in that I raise to get worse than me to fold, and keep the pot heads up against a stronger range. Think given his position flatting is best.

Can we fold pre? If the name of the game is exploitation and we're vs. an unknown, it might be better to fold from this position. That being said if I found myself in this position I likely call one maybe two reasonable bets on dry boards with one over, and folding the flop on a lot of wet boards.

I think it's too loose to raise VS an UTG open, when his stats are relatively tight, and TT isnt really that strong as compared to hands like QQ+, where we're happy to be stacking off with.
looks more like a trap he put on you with a hand like JJ+ probably, that is C/R for value, since you dont put him on that hand range postflop.

Raising an UTG open so early shows massive strength, so we're kinda overrepping our hand. I probably raise AA-KK here and call with the rest of my playing range, and if you care to GTO-balance your range, add A2s-A4s bluffs to the mix. As played b/f the flop, this isn't really a spot where we expect a villain to go ape on his AKo, or ever intend to c/r and give up when called.

Umm a 10 would be nice to see on the turn, and another on the river just to make sure?

But yeah one of those tricky situations that requires more thought on the flop.
The flop is really the place to decide whether you are ahead and committing to the hand or folding before throwing money to the wind.
