Rakeback?

I keep reading about rake back.... is it possible to get on PS? If so, how do I go about it?

no it is not possible to get rakeback as such on pokerstars. pokerstars "rakeback" system is inbuilt into their VIP rewards system. which can be contrasted to the olden days of FTP where you could get 33% of your rake paid back into your account. however the flipside of that coin was FTP's VIP reward system was far less value than stars back in "the day"

Rakebak (and affiliate programs) appear to be on their way out.

Pokerstars always had a loyalty programme instead.
Fulltilt (under new ownership) is now the same.

But other sites have also been changing their rakeback to VIP loyalty schemes.
Most recently Carbon Poker has done it.

Isn't FTP owned by Stars now? Not a very good example.

Pretty much all sites are moving away from rakeback for obvious reasons. FTP may be owned by Stars but it's still run independently.

Pokerstars gives rake back to players who are in supernova level and up
