1) I prefer to know who I am trying to squeeze
2) I prefer to do it with at least an A in hand.

Definitely (1) for me. Also prefer to do it in position.

Good points, although i think some of the best squeeze opportunities are from the blinds when your oop.

Looking at the flop then, who's betting and who's checking? And why?

Pre-flop is probably okay. I'd like to see some reads/stats here or a statement that they are unknown.

I'm not sure if K9 should be in your c-betting range on the flop.

there are obviously better hands you could do this with preflop, but i don't think it's terrible. i think squeezing here is +EV but i wouldn't make a habit of it. flop CB i think is fine as long as you realise you are basically just preventing hands like AQ or whatever from realising their equity in the pot. if called i'd almost certainly shutdown on most turn cards.

Yeah my initial thought during play was bet because i'm supposed to have a strong range in this spot and can rep overpairs so i thought i'd have some sort of fold equity, also for value/protection from live overcards like you said AQ and FD's etc. Hands that can gain from a free card and will possibly peel one street.

Edit - I'm still unsure if this is right though i must analyse my range in this spot and try and set them up vs an unknown cos this guy certainly is an unknown.

Cbetting flop is fine, good sizing too. You probsbly have to go with it though vs most regs.

Going for the c/c will just cause you a lot of trouble on turn/river against a competent villain.
