4nl TT Bvb, hit set flop

villain is 25/20/6, taggy over 750 . seems solid for most part, we've managed to stay out of each others way most of the time.
his att-to-steal in sb: 71%, fold-stealto3b:50%, cbetflop:54%

I'm just curious if anyone is playing this differently, what they are doing OTF?

3bet him pre, 71% SB steal is high and we'll want to be 3betting a decent amount of hands vs him.

He has loads of air in his range when betting this flop, if he cbets turns frequently I'd call otherwise raise for value.

since i playing a lot of hands vs. him hoopy, and he's good. don't ya think i should maybe flat sometimes and keep in his wide range?

And he expects me to 3b a lot. when i flat him i'm usually c/f oop'.

So he expects you do 3bet a lot and calls 50% overall and most likely much more against you and especially in this situation? Sounds like a good time to 3bet. Vs. most I'm just flatting.

As played you have to raise the flop of course. He cbets with an unbalanced range (very strong in this case) and if we want to balance at all vs. him then this is a clear raise.

In his eyes? Or is that really your gameplan? If it's the latter then you need a lot of adjusting.

Definitely flat call a wider range than normal to his steal. But TT has too much equity to just call and isn't a great hand to trap with. 3bet a polarized range i.e. strong hands and stuff like 94s/K2s, and flat stuff like QT/87s.

We're in position here?

How come you want to 3bet a polarized range here vs. someone that flats 3bets a lot?

well, when everyone talks about a polarized range it means strong/weak right? not strong/marginal ?

i would think id rather 3b steal w/ KJ,QT...

And hoopy said TT has too much equity... so i want to 3b and now if he calls it doesn't have nearly as much equity vs. a cont'ing range...

I was questioning hoopy as I'd rather not have a polarized range in this spot. I'd rather play a merged range as he's flatting things we can dominate him when we 3bet AQ/AJ/KQ/TT/99 type hands.

vs someone who calls 3bets wide we want to be 3betting for value with a wide range. He's calling 50% of 3bets so we don't want to be 3bet bluffing against him because he's calling half of our bluffs.

Used the wrong word, I definitely agree with you that 3betting AQ/AJ/KQ/TT/99 type hands + premiums is a good idea.

Toss in a some bluffs as well since if he's going to be calling a range of ≈30% hands to our 3bet then cbetting will likely show a profit.
