Why not to cbet?

Why not C-bet to rep Ax into a limp-called pot? I know it's 3-handed, but I don't think you'll get a call with less than Ax, so why not rep it and see? I drag a lot of pots in these spots.

Raise bigger pre. WTF at folding/limping? Our hand is ahead of their range. Make them pay to see the flop and then push the initiative in 2-3 handed pots. If villains were 15/0, but the one limper is 37/15, and the Button is going to iso 100% of hands that dominate us and is going to limp like 50% of all hands (I know he's unknown, but very few villains limp a premium in his spot and most players are playing as many hands as they can find an excuse to play in that spot).

What type of hands do you think are gonna limp-call to that small raise?
Now you're facing two villains and the only thing that'll continue is Ax, 66 type hands. Once that happens you've got 4 outs.
FWIW - this hand was fucked pf...shoulda popped it to >$0.28 and then kept up the pressure otf. Much easier to bluff one player otf than a crowd.

folding pre is a horrible play imo. even calling would be +EV with this price imo. though i prefer raising to get value from fishy limp/calling ranges which we are ahead of. make it bigger though, like at least $0.28. cbet/fold this flop

Whadya do when you get 1 or 2 callers and the turn bricks? Even though I can see the merits of a cb, I've never been a fan of betting or calling on one street only to shut down on the next.

by the same principle that it's ok to raise 100% of buttons and plan to shut down on basically any flop vs blinds who fold 90% of the time and never adjust, it's ok to just plan to "one and done" on the flop so long as you think that one bet is +EV in a vacuum.

tbh i'm not sure if cbetting is +EV or not, and i cant be bothered making up ranges, counting the total combinations, counting how many i think fold etc etc to find out if the bet is +EV. i'd definitely cbet this flop though in play (for better or worse) because i'm a CB monkey

in fact i'm converted. add me to C/F flop camp. villains aren't folding anything worse than a J or any draw. so every single broadway combination/Ax/J9/J8 etc arent going to fold. if this flop were heads up i'd cbet pretty comfortably because we will achieve our required fold frequency easier.

I'm in the c/f flop camp. We just never get folds to a single barrel on this board and doubling is bad.

Turn is fine. He's stabbing here a lot, he's betting TPNK here a lot, and he slow played the nuts on the flop a fair amount. Our hand's face-up, and we have 4 outs, so nh him.
