64s in river spot

girl is 50/34 3bet: 18 % over 200 hands, she usually pops in goes wild for 50 hands max & leaves..... villain 3bet's A4+, KT+, T9s, she'll fold if half her stack is in jeopardy. I consider 4bet' shoving as a bluff here,

I call her 3bet's liberally in Position, but not sure about here in this spot...?????

If you must 4bet bluff, certainly don't shove - you're risking too much to win too little, just 4bet to a normal size.

That said, I think it would be insane to 4bet in any case.

Just fold pre - why did you even open this?

I'm going to take that to mean you called a 3bet oop with 6 high.

I think although you can make an argument for doing so very occasionally, you should basically never be calling 3bets oop - either 4bet with hands you're willing to stack off with (which is not 6 high) or fold when you're 3bet oop.

I guess villain's lagdumness rubbed off on me here... I'm always folding this, I guess trying to catch the fish turned me into one........

Used to happen to me. You will find spots where you can loosen up a little once your postflop play improves, but generally they are only marginally going to be profitable, and for now I would certainly advise playing tighter against fish if anything.

I'd advise looking at this as a form of tilt - when you just can't wait to get the money in with a fish to the point where you're playing crap like this oop, you are not thinking straight.

That's exactly what it is to Boris. I had been fairly tight up till the arrival of fish, and it definitely gets me into situations where I'm trying to force hands. It's frustrating looking back at it. Seeing how well I was playing, and then the presence of a fish actually has a negative effect.

I will post the rest of the hand in this post. So the title actually makes sense.

Here's the rest of this debacle. I actually flop a really good hand, I have 13 outs on the flop. As long as there live outs I'm priced to call here. I don't think QT is making a pot bet here, but I've seen villain be just as aggro on flush draws too.

So by the time I fold it's like every reason I got involved to begin with I back out on....

You should probably discount your 13 outs based on how clean you think they are.

Plus how big an edge in post-flop play do you need to make 64s profitable OOP?

There's a big difference between nudging poor players toward giving you (more of) their money and trying to force it.

Fold because you're out of position and 64s is too often going to need to see 4 or 5 cards.

ok, well I'm glad I posted it. It def was a form of tilt on my part

calling pre is awful imo. as played c/shove flop

open fold pre, as played fold vs the 3b, as played flop is interesting
fold turn as played.
