Whats up guys ,

Im kinda new to FTR in the fact that i mostly just lurked here and never posted that much but I think now is as good as time as any to start contributing more. Ive been reading others operations threads and have been using them as motivation to show up and grind .

I was a former mtt player pre BF and played mostly the big fields on stars and ftp day in and day out . I did pretty well for my volume and was able to make poker my main income . Then BF hit , yay lol . Well I was super scared at first and $40 deposit on one of the american facing sites and play 4nl to start. It was like starting over like 2007 lol .

Since there were no mtts really bc merge sched sucked hard at this time , so i decided to focus on cash games . I also had a couple live games that were $1/$1 wit no rake that helped lean more towards learning cash. I grinded my way through 4nl , 10nl , and 25nl w/decent win rates at each. Most of my play has been on Bodog/Bovada since BF bc the games are so soft on there .

For the last 3-5 months I have grinded 50nl and some mtts 55$ an under here and there with decent success. I do still use poker as my main income so its tough to build the bankroll and move up , and shell it out for bills lol. But I am still here .

I wanted to start this operation to keep myself accountable and make sure i put in the time !

GOALS :
1. play at least 40k hands a month
2. get roll to comfortable 30 to 35 buyins for next level (this is 100nl currently so)
3. continue to maintain a good winrate at 50nl
4. continue to study FTR and watch DC videos to try and improve my game
5. keep the thread updated and track my progress both mentally and monetarily !
6. continue to enjoy life and have fun everyday !!!!!!!!!!!!

Well 1st session after making this post , i played about 2 hours of 5 tabling a mix of FR and 6 max 50nl games , and managed to win about 2 buyins in this session . Feels good to make a nice little comeback after having a brutal day yestd . I still think I am playing relatively well overall , as I feel comfortable in most spots at 50nl and feel like I can make the adjustments , that I need to win at any table .

Guess Im gonna take little walk and get ready to settle down for my next session and tune in to a little "Live at the Bike" . GL everyone out there grinding :) !

The fact that you managed to build a 2k bankroll while cashing out for real life needs is quite amazing. Things should actually become easier now in that respect. Unless you start spending more, of course.

Thanks Fielmann , I dont have many living expenses besides rent , phone and food + a lil party money lol . I just finished another 2 and half hour session in one of the softest games I have played in long time . Tooooooooooooo bad things didnt quite go my way , played about 400 hands or so wit 250 or so being in an incredible 6 max game . There were 3 50nl whales including one of the biggest donks ive seen at 50nl. Those 3 guys all had vpips above 60 and pfrs between 5-42 LOL . But these guys were taking every hand to showdown so I was gonna need to make some hands , things didnt work out on that seen and I ended up losing about 1 and 1/2 buyins but meh I was glad to be there in that game !

Well I know Ive been posting a ton ITT thread and I just started it but I wanted to give a mid month update since I am a little behind on my volume goal . I have played a couple MTT filled sundays wich is usually an 8 hour + day but still , I need to play more hands ! So far in May my PT4 looks like this . GL grinders ! THANKS 4 READING

Today was a meh day , I was kinda lazy and only got in about 800 hands of mixed 50NL FR and 6max . The day went ok other than the amount of volume I played , as I won a little bit over 1 buyin in that amount of hands . NEED TO STOP BEING LAZY AND GRIND !

VOLUME ; 14,155 HANDS SO FAR THIS MONTH , 26K + TO GO !

Well hit a little bump in the road , over the last 2k hands ive been getting absolutely crushed . I have been pretty unlucky imo , running ak < aa a couple of times and getting aces cracked a couple times also . So im down a lil under 4 buyins today in about 1500 hands , wich is pretty rediculous for me . I definately has probably tilted off at least 1 buyin by playing bad , and maybe more .

Gonna look over some of the sessions and try to find mistakes and learn something from them . There definately will be some to find , gonna have to buckle down and fix some mistakes !!!!!!! Then get more volume in !

After I reviewed my earlier session , I definately tilted too much in my earlier sessions today and got way off my game . Made some bad flats of 3bets in horrid spots and it contributed to making my sessions alot worse than they should have been . I need to think every decision through and make sure I have a "good" reason for doing what im doing .

So after this realization , I felt like playing another session . So i put in another 2 hour session of 4 tabling trying to focus on my reasons for doing stuff . I ended this session up about a buyin in about 500 to 600 hands .

NEED TO FOCUS AND ELIMINATE MY STUPID TILTY MISTAKES !!!!

O AND VOLUME VOLUME VOLUME

Well my downlslide continued yesterday pretty hardcore , I played about 2k hands yesterday total and ended up losing about 6 buyins :( . I ran completely awful and after reviewing my sessions , I dont think I played that bad . I tilted in a couple spots and probably am responsible for 1 or 2 buyins being tilted off but still ran pretty beyond awful to lose that much .

So I guess its time for a break from the pokerz . I am gonna take the whole weekend off and just try to relax and enjoy LIFE ! Ive grinded about 17 of 17 days so far this month so a little break I hope will do me some good !

BR update - 35 buyins at 50nl

Very good decision to take a break imo. Most people just keep playing semi tilted and make mistakes. With your volume goal don't be too obsessed about hitting 40k hands, just try to make the rest of the hands you play this month "good" hands.

Sup guys , today I decided to fire up a few donkaments as well as move down and played some 25NL . Happy to report some success once again in this thread , as I shipped a 3r for about $400 and I won a couple buyins at 25NL . At the end of today I finished up about 9 buyins in total . I think my MTT game is still by far what I am best at , as results always seem to come when I am able to put the time in with them .

Moving down to 25NL I was able to get a nice confidence boost back stacking a couple donks and making a few buyins . Its nice to have a good day , and feel a little more positive about the rest of this month .

Time for a little update , the downslide in the cash games continues ..................as nothing I do anymore seems to work . Its really hard to win or to not lose heaps when you literally never make the best hand . 50 NL is still really showdown oriented game in the games I play in with a bunch of fish that just dont like to fold . That means at some point your going to have to make some big hands and I just have not been able to lately. All my big pairs are getting crushed lately and it is incredibly frustrating !!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least there is some hope in MTTs lol :). Since the cash games have been so brutal to me lately , I have decided to start putting in more MTT volume . So far its the only thing that has saved my BR lol . Just finished up another shitty cash session where I lost about a buyin over 300 or so hands . Gonna take a break and fire up some soft low stakes MTTs and crush some fish !!!!

So whats up yall , been a couple interesting days here lately . I was getting pretty crushed on the tables at the main site I was playing at , so then I switched it up steered back to the old bread and butter at Bovada and found a little upswing . Its nothing huge but Ive been able to put together about 5 straight winning sessions . At one point earlier this week the BR had taken a hit down to around 35 BI for 50NL.

Then I found a nice little upswing in about 5 sessions spread out over the next 2 days, I have definately ran pretty well though. Continue to work and review the hands after sessions to make sure my decisions are continuing to be optimal for the situations . Tommorow is SUNDAY and donkament time . I usually spend around 100$ or so taking some shots at some really soft tournaments , with a little run good maybe I will double the roll up tommorow !

Whats up everybody , May has finally come to a close and its time to take a look at the last month and see how I fared . It was an interesting month to say the least with a few mtt wins and a couple decent days at the cash tables , but it also had its downers with a couple bad sessions and some tilt spread in here and there .

Overall I'm feeling really good about where my game is at , and I feel like am I improving more and more each day that I play . Ive found reviewing my sessions keeps my mind in the right state even when I have a bad session because I am able to see what went wrong and then make any adjustments that need to be made .

On the last day of the month I had a nice little upswing with the move of Lock Poker to the cake network , I decided to throw a few bucks on and play some there and I must say the games seemed pretty soft . I am excited for the new network , and hope they keep marketing their site to the fishies !

Im pretty happy with this month , but definately could be putting in more volume at cash and MTT's both ! On too the next one !
