I don't want to start a new thread everytime I can't figure out how to do something. Seems like some other peeps could use a thread like this too.

Rename a link on windows 7?

When I copy a link address it allways comes out like this http://www.flopturnriver.com/pokerfo...rs-189489.html instead of the actual title of the page. I'd like to be able to rename it to what it is or to "this" or "link" or whatever. Gotta be something easy right?

Um... crap. The link worked this time. Anyway still would like to know how to do it.

Got nothing to do with Windows 7, the forum is doing crazyshit to decide how to name your link. If worst comes to worst, after your post you can click on edit and you'll see the actual URL and the title (name), and then you can edit the title (name) to whatever you want

It's not just for ftr tho. If I post a youtube link or whatever on skype or facebook the link will be like 4 line of text.

oic my bad, the forum started putting the title in as the name of the link instead of just the link itself and this annoys me, so I thought that's what you meant. I'm pretty sure like of the last five posts you've made with problems, questions or comments I've replied to each one and been totally wrong every single time. :(

You can change the display title of the link by changing the text in between the [URL] tags. As an example:

[-URL="http://www.flopturnriver.com/pokerforum/ftr-community/does-anybody-know-how-189497.html"]Some other title[-/URL]

shows this link: Some other title
