1 fold, Hero bets $1.50, 1 fold, SB calls $1.25, 1 fold

Flop: ($3.50) J:club:, 6:spade:, K:club: (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $2.45, SB raises $8.50, Hero ????

I would flat and shove over his turn bet on a brick.

Your ahead of most of his range that he flats with, I think your up against a pair + FD, like A6 of spades, maybe a set of 6's, he could also have something like KQ. I agree that flatting then jamming the turn on a brick would be the best play IMO. If the spade peels Idk, if he times down and leads I think I might muck. Idk tough to say his range is so tight I mean I think he could also bluff the spade with TPGK as well. Tough spot. Maybe just jam flop instead.lol

Ok random thoughts - tear this apart as you will.

Someone who 3bets 7% in the SB - are they really defending with A6s?
I feel hes a competent TAGG player - from only his stats - so really think A6s is unlikely - i have no idea if hesa w inning player, but his VPIP defines at least a part of his preflop range here

Same hand - KJ - yeah certainly - not too many combos though - what do people think about him not having this too much as well...?

KK/JJ are largely dismissed - id add 1 combo of JJ but i think villain 3balls these both pre

That leaves AQs/66/AK and KQ which are all definitly in villains range and maybe T9s (but again i dont think this type of player is defending with T9s OOP)

Is my range too tight? I think its based on a reasonble thought process

Pretty sure we have 60-70% equity vs his range so calling flop looks like best play - but are we sure he barrels all turns with the above range - my thoughts are that if i call the flop he slows down with all but 2pair+ and my equity isnt good then.

Based on his stats he should have almost no flatting range. But it kind of depends, imo, on how he is adjusting to the new table dynamics. He may be opening up and flatting with big suited hands like QTs/KJs/AT/9s or he's slowplaying AA/AK.

I think this is an interesting hand in that it seems that everyone replying feels his range is really combo-drawy while miffed thinks it's mostly made hands.

This was exactly where i was going - i.e players arent playing back at us light as much as we might think they are...

when the table is 9-handed villain's range is pretty much:
KJ/KK/JJ/66/KQ/AcTc/AcQc/AA/AK/Tc9c/Ac2c-Ac9c. KK is heavily discounted. Discount JJ a lot less.
6-handed and some villains change, some don't. HUD configuration helps here.
Anyway, that range is why i asked how well you flip lately ;)

This well - even my coach doesnt get why i cant run somwhere decent. I just lose SD to every concevable runbad

*sigh* i take 2 days off work to play 30k hands and the regs keep rivering me endlessly - so fking stupid.

That's actually not what I meant. This is the type of board where people naturally assume villain's range comprises sets and combo draws/NFD. Since we have top 2 and he 3-bets 7% he has almost no sets here, you're looking at 3 combos of 66 and that's it. KK, JJ is 2 combos and if he ever has either one of those then surely he'd have AA, AK here sometimes too.

When you have a legit read (obviously you have a lot better feel for this guy than any of us can) then you can make some exploitably tight plays but that probably doesn't involve top 2 on this board. If this guy is so unbalanced that he's only doing this with 66 (there are definitely players like this) and never calling with worse then we should barrel him off every hand and semibluff shove the turn on him a ton.
