So one problem that I face is that I'm about to embark on real play for the first time, and the group is mixed in experience and knowledge. I will guess that it's going to be a looser game, but there may be a few strong players amongst them. My plan was to start out the first 10 hands or so playing very tight, maybe even nut peddling, to build up some knowledge of the play styles, and perhaps give a false sense of my style. Any advice on this front?
10 hands either tight or loose means nothing. I've sat for 2+ hours and hadn't seen a pair. Your not going to get any ideas in 10-20 hands. Just play your hands and value bet the shit our of anything good.
Just play your game, and change your assumptions as you get more information. I dont know at which stakes you play, but at the micros, you dont have to give a false sense of your play style. It will often end bad.

playing pretty straight forward agaianst unknown is std for the people who lack experience.
figuring out who you can and cannot run over as you get better postflop becomes more and more releveant as you improve postflop
