What would be considered a high 3bet percentage??
depends on what you play. different for FR/6m/HU.
oh a sry, FR - 5NL
8%+ is what I would classify as high. No idea what you're gonna do with that information.
The overall 3b% can be a very misleading statistic. There are players who tend to 3b a lot in position, some squeeze an excessive amount and some defend their blinds excessively, or some combination of the above. At micros you can add the type who limp/3bets.
You can fold everything but KK+ to 3-bets at microstakes FR, and you will be fine. This is not something that will make or break you. When in doubt: fold.
It also depends on sample size, how the 3bet range is distributed, what street, positional 3bets, against steals, stack sizes and other factors.
anything above 3% at nsnl is pretty high at fr unless you are doing the 3bin
ya i was just wondering so I could use that info in the game now that i'm starting to get a decent amount of hands in with players. Like I look at it and it's like 6% ....oooh 6% wtf does that mean lol
mine is sitting around 2.4%
oskar, usually I look at the preflop 3bet, now the overall 3bet%
if you want some perspective, you can use pokerstove to show you what % of hands a certain range is. for example QQ+,AK is 2.6%. personally at FR i consider anyone 3betting more than 5 or 6% to have a "high" 3bet. however at 5nl i doubt many regs 3b above 4%.
What about 6max 10nl? I assume a couple of points higher so is normal around 3% - 5% and 'high' 8%+?
Given the % is so low, I assume you need 300 + hands to get any meaningful number. That would be less than 20 instances for a 'normal' player.
