Some losing hands - bad beat or bad play?

After my last session I wanted to post some hands with which I got stacked... just say did I play bad or was it bad beat?

Villains river donkbet seemed like bluff to induce bluff from me and then bluff all in himself. Obviously I got fooled..

Flop bet from villain seemed like cbet to me.. so I called (his cbet stat was 30.. but now I think it's quite "honest" and given 80 hands it's not something to rely on). As he checked on turn I bet myself hoping to take down pot.

PS: about putting opponents on ranges - in all cases I guessed too wide range or completely missed that but I'm learning...

EDIT: I added player stats and likely reasoning to my decisions in every hand.

Since this is blind without any clue on ranges or how villain plays...

#1 fine (set over set is rare)
#2 bad river play
#3 villain is trying to get a draw cheap and obviously hit...
#4 I guess jamming turn is fine (xxxxxx)
#5 kind of goofy, but easy fold (probably has QQ or something)

#2 if you're going to stack off with TPWK with A9s, you're probably better off folding PF to the UTG+1 raise. Stacking off when a bunch of obvious draws come on the river is not good. It's a perplexing bet from villain, but I don't see much value in raising either.

Flop is a way ahead/way behind scenario usually so I don't like the raise because it possibly folds out worse hands and gets called by better, and depending on his stats this flop hits his range much harder than it does yours. Despite his retarded bet sizing, since there are no draws (apart from a gutshot) to be worried about, I think it's ok to take a passive line and try to get to showdown cheaply.

Also STOP POSTING RESULTS!

1. Can't really get away from this one.
2. You are overplaying the top pair with weak kicker, the board just got super scary on river since it completes both straights and flushes, and villains minbet is there to induce a bluff/aggression from you. Don't go monkey in this kinda situations unless you know villian is a complete dumbo.
3. No reason to bet river here.
4. Bad luck
5. This is okay. More or less.

1. It's a cooler. It happens.
2. Fold pre vs UTG or don't be willing to stck off when you hit top pair. With Axs you're looking for the flush not an A.
3. What does he have that you beat that he'll call that bet? Not much.
4. Surprsing that the BB calls that flop raise with KK on this board. I'd remember this guy and get his $$ later :mischief:

I thought about these hands myself but now I understand better what mistakes I made. I also had my KK busted to AA later.. and my question is that approximately how tight opponent has to be to seriously consider his 3bet a sign that he has AA? So far my approach was to consider every KK vs AA loss a bad beat but that happens more that I'd like to...

You misunderstood him, post hands, but don't post results (like hero had blabla and won blabla)

As for KK vs AA, get to know the villain. At your limits they will be hard to spot, since some of them are usually able to play AK, AQ, KK, QQ same way they play AA preflop. But mostly look for a nitty guy with extra low vpip/prf who 3bets like 1%. And if you 4bet him lightly he will more likely 5bet then shove (but really its villain dependant)

1. Fine, there's surely no way you can be in doubt about this? If you were, you need to a lot of work on ranges and being less results orientated

2. Preflop is bad, easy fold. As played raise/fold river, you're never good often enough here with a bluff catcher.

3. Fold the turn - this is almost always the nuts without reads to the contrary.

5. I have no idea why you bet the turn, do you? Check the turn. Obv fold river.

Stats and reads really help in just about every spot you post. Include these next time so people can give you more accurate responses. It's kind of important what your opponents are like as players when analyzing a HH.

I edited first post and added data I had to every player. Thanks for pointing it out.

No, this is the perfect place to post hands, but you should edit out the results - i.e. what the villain had - in order to keep the responses as unbiased as possible. Results are only good for the bad beats forum.

all this hands are fine except A9 imo
