Chris Moneymaker's 2011 WSOP has come to a swift conclusion. After falling below 10,000 early, he had doubled back and looked as though he was starting to regain some momentum. Then he hit a couple of missteps again and was down to around 13,000 or so when his final hand took place.
Up against Carl Carlson and looking at a JsTc9d flop, Carlson managed to get Moneymaker to commit the last of his chips holding 3x3x while Carlson had ThTc for a set of tens. The turn was the 5d and river the Ks, and halfway through Level 3 Moneymaker has hit the rail.
Carlson, meanwhile, has 43,000 after that one.

So sick. "Will be on tv." lol
Chris Moneymaker: "IT IS SO HARD PLAYING AGAINST RETARDS THAT YOU CAN'T READ BECAUSE THEY DON'T KNOW THEIR OWN HAND!"
p.s. GJ Carl! Keep rolling.
lmfao carl is my hero
shippppppppp
Awesome!
I can't find the quote but I sure hope it is.
Boom! No class from Moneymaker
BOOM! HEADSHOT!
Twitter <- here is his twitter
mebbe its me but i cut moneymaker infinite slack for how he started the poker boom
That really doesn't sound like something Moneymaker would say, whenever he loses I've never heard him say anything derogatory about the guy who busted him. Actually seems like a pretty decent/humble guy.
anyway, awesome job GGML.
So why do we hate him exactly?
because he's got more money ldo

wow. your image must be fairly horrific
Pretty sure UG was kidding around dudes...
Yes, and upon going to shake hands with Moneymaker, Carl quickly took his hand back at the last second and yelled, "PWNED AGAIN, MONEYMAKER!"
i c what u did there
haha, was pretty happy considering about an hour prior i doubled him up with JJ on a 7T3J2 board when he had 89.
my image was agro and it was the 4th time i 3bet him that day, then other 3 i won without showdown. but idk, he kept saying he made a bad read which i think is the long form of "opps". he made a lot of really strange plays and call downs, like 4betting 50% of his stack and folding to a shove. not sure what he was doing this hand because i would be calling with almost my entire range that cbets this board, but it's all good.
was a real nice guy, talked a bit, was a bit frustrated but not towards any player. shook hands n all that.
So what you're saying is UG is a liar?
that sounds like the most horrifically botched hand ever...
busto :(
started day 2 short, got it in with k9s v ak, didn't hit.
GG sir, busting moneymaker / being on TV for it is a small consolation I suppose.
How did you get your seat, GMML?
GG dude!
satted thru local casino
the 33 shove is probably one of the worst plays I've seen in a while.
gg carl
gg leg
any ftr'ers still in?
It looks like nutsinho is still in it.
LOLOL by highlander rules, leg is the 2003 WSOP ME champion!
Lol Carl Carlson. If Bikes is called Lenny Leonard then I might just explode.
but...like...what else would it mean
I can guess the Scandanavia link, I was amused since Carl Carlson is the token black guy in the Simpsons. I am really the only one who knows that off hand?
