I hated my bet sizing too.

Result orientated question is , checking the turn , hoping to pair board .Is it ever standard here ?

I'd bet like 30 cents on the flop, and around 2/3 pot on the turn, pretty happy to fold to a turn raise or shove as a passive seeming player is showing strength.

I'm not checking this turn because he's a loose fish who will have a hard time folding, and is likely to continue calling with worse hands even though the flush is there, so you're still making money by betting.

Hang on, if you bet as you suggest, the villain's turn shove would be less than a PSB - if I did the math right we need 24% equity or more to be priced in on a call. We'll fill up or hit quads about a quarter of the time... Am I missing something?

pre 4 x bb+1 or the limper . This sizing is ok.

flop .I went for 2/3 . but because there are flush and straight draws and 2 opps 3/4 + or PSB . Charge people. I have best hand (except s/p KK) , I need to be building pot. My sizing should be geared towards getting it all in, without over betting.

turn . my bet was gay . 3/4 - psb , cos I have a fish here who calls with worse .

On this flop, I'd be betting more than 2/3 pot. My standard bet is 70%, but on flops like these, I can bet pot, or even overbet if I think villain is having trouble letting go of a flush draw or JQ.

I doubt I'd be folding this on the turn, due largely to the points eugmac makes regarding kiwi's sizing... once we pot flop and 70% turn, we're priced in to call a shove, even against a range of just flushes and straights. And he doesn't always have a flush or straight here, he can have 2pr, or top pair with a strong heart, or maybe a worse set if he's an idiot, so our equity should be a little over 24% when he shoves.

As played, I guess folding is an option, though at 2s I'm having a really hard time folding this, especially eurofish 2s. It's a pretty sick fold if you ask me.

I would never check this turn. When villain calls our flop bet, he's not strictly on draws, he can be paired and nearly drawing dead, but the 9h probably gives him outs to beat us, so we must bet this turn imo. His shove does narrow his range, but not enough imo to make us fold.

everyone has said it - pot the flop - build a pot when you have a hand.
Remember you opponent wont fold hearts or any draw pretty much no matter what you bet

In the games i play i prob check the turn and play the river as it drops - against others its a clear bet so if you bet the turn at these stakes i probably bet/call - your villain wont just have just a flush or straight here and if you build in any type of lower sets/two pair into the range its a call with the price you are getting

The op given is a loose/passive to me so will get it in with worse so i bet/call here

ah, good catch, guess I'm bet calling then. Dunno if that's a huge leak or not, I just feel like I'm getting too much value not to bet again on the turn, and if it means I'm priced in when he shoves so be it? iunno.

Think its worth re emphasizing purpose of betting bigger has less to do with "charging draws" and more to do with calling ranges being pretty much the same v different bet sizing.

The rational behind betting smaller should be "we need our villain to add weaker hands to his calling range".

EX: We raise from utg 100bb effective with AA and get called by tag button. Flop comes TT4r. Because their are no draws to get value from we need to focus on the part of his range that can potentially put in money with worse. Because a villain will be much more likely to call a bet in this spot with 22, 33, 55-99 v a smaller bet, and these hands constitute most of what we get value from, we bet smaller.
