TT on J hi board with missed turn

Villain was running 25/17 over only 12 hands. Finding this awkward/confusing 'cause of stack sizes.

On the flop I should probably have led out as he's short and would prolly call be off with any piece.
Not sure why I didn't, but as played I feel like he can bet often enough with non-top pairs and straight draws that makes it a fairly easy call, but then when he bets the turn again double as much I tend to think it's less likely to be with straight draws and am not sure if he's doing this with weak pairs often enough for me to call here and see a river.

Do we know his fold-to-3bet pre stat? Also, knowing if he's capable of 3barrelling 99/AQ/AK would help a lot. Without this info, I think line is good, and bikes nails correct play from here. If we have clearer statistical detail, we might be able to stack him off profitably by letting him hang himself.

I think that c/c the flop is fine as played. I also think there could be some merit to 3betting preflop but I guess it'd be nicer to have a larger sample so you can tell if he is a regular SSer or just a random bonk. Given his bet sizing I wouldn't really be surprised to see him have something like AQ here a lot so I agree with bikes.

i do not believe that you should 3bet the flop, because you're basicly doing it without enough information. 12 hands are TOO FEW.

you have to remember that the most important things you're looking for in online poker are profitable situations and playing TT OOP (out of position) against an agressive player on a J high flop is totally not profitable.

first of all, if you've seem him splashing around and having high VPIP (voluntary money put in the pot) you almost anytime could 3bet preflop from that position since your hand has A LOT of equity against a maniacs hand range, but still. don't make blind assumptions next to the villain like "he might or might not". try and putting him on a range based on previous actions and showdowns (hands you have seen+from what position) and then make decisions.

second, 3betting the pot would be like putting 2$ on blackjack as long as you don't have information about his range - preflop + flop play/betting pattern is not enough to presume that he might be bluffing. as far as i see it, he just takes advantage of a great position against you. that's why playing OOP sucks all the time.

third, it's better you just call and see a flop. i don't think i'm too tight, but i mostly fold on the flop if the villain bets into me, only because i'm OOP and chances are too slim to improve. anyways, calling one street doesn't seem like a big problem either, but if you really don't improve and he still keeps betting in you just fold because you're creating yourself a -ev situation which isn't worth the headache, trust my word. if he checks behind, that's great, you can check again the river, but if he doesn't just fold the hand because you'll always get other better spots.

I assume you fold a river also if he goes for 3 streets? Do you do the same with QQ?

No really point in raising any street, cuz shortstack scum will prolly shove you with lots of crap if you give him reason. Depending on the river and his bet size, you could call if his bet is not too big.
OR, you could minbet the river. For 0.10$. Makes villain think. And if he indeed thinks I think he might do one of the following things:
1. call your bet with marginal hands, he will be scared to raise if he thinks you have hit something, and would rather have cheap showdown then risk getting his raise reraised
2. go allin. big chance he is bluffing. i would call this one down
3. reraise you. he isn't scared of your reraise...fold.


Though, since he is shortstacked we can assume he is a bad player, and therefore he might also go allin with nuts. Take him on a second date, and get to know him better.

I'd play QQ differently obviously, QQ is far far different than TT in this spot
