Reads... nil. Pokertracker is turned off, no notes on villain, I haven't seen this guy do anything crazy yet.

Obviously I'm not folding, it's a rather simple question really... should I shove to his river raise, or is flat calling correct?

Ranges...

Pre, well he's opening from EP, but without stats I can only really guess. I put him on pairs, broadways and decent As. I call for implied odds, I like my hand 3handed. I'd probably fold if it were a HU pot, but the extra caller tempted me.

Flop, I don't narrow his range, I figure he cbets all of his range on this flop.

Turn, check check check tells me he's got flush draws, overcards and underpairs that missed.

River, I bink the flush, but board pairs. I bet, he min raises... so his range is now flushes, boats and bluffs. But why would he check a set on the turn?

My problem was that I wouldn't expect a flush to raise the river bet, and air folds to a shove, so I wasn't sure what to do. Is this a standard shove because he checked the turn?

I know this is a pretty yawn hand etc, but I need to know if I'm losing value here by flatting, or if I'm crazy for shoving. Obviously no-one folds this, do they?

Again, no stats as tracker is off, and no notes, so something like 22-JJ, A2s+ TJs+

When he flats the flop bet, I guess we remove his air. I have the Ac so he's less likely to be floating, so I put him on a missed pair, flush draws and maybe some overcard hands with the Kc. His checking the turn reinforces this range.

i'm shipping. his turn check won't let me give him credit for any fullhouses. and we obviously beat the rest.

I like a c/r on the flop sometimes if you think he cbets all of his air + trapping MP2's monies in the pot. c/c is fine as well since we're getting a great price and keep weaker flush draws in the pot.

River lead can be a bit bigger. Only 88/66/33/22 beat you here (8 combos) and I don't see any of them checking the turn on that board. Most value hands are betting this turn so the only things I see checking are flush draws/air or weak 8x if he has any in his range. He can raise the river with a flush/air or a weirdly played 8x hand, I'd ship it in.

I'd shove. He's trying to rep the boat, but his line otf and ott don't match.

Ok thanks for the replies guys. I kinda knew during the split second between my call and the showdown that I should reraise this river bet, I just wanted to discuss it to be sure. Villain had KJ clubs. It's spots like this where I need to improve, I think river value bets are my weakest area of poker. It did surprise me that he raised a non-nut flush on a paired board, but then again my range is a whole heap of clubs and 8x hands, so there's value there for him for sure.

I know it's his turn check that makes my hand as good as the nuts, but I lost my bottle. In villain's shoes, I'm not sure I could find a raise after BB leads this river.

And point taken about river bet size. A larger bet might have induced a shove, rather than a min raise. I wouldn't have folded.

hes got alot of flushes in his range given how the hand played out.
im prob just jamming the river as played

edit: his range at this point is really as narrow as club broadways, as he raised from ep, and possi A8s (if hes bad and thinks theres value in raising his rivered trips/takes dumb lines).

the situation would be a bit different if the board paired on the turn...but i didnt sooo yeah.
