Folding KA when Ace is hit on flop?

My biggest money loser for me lately has been KA, I have put 20 dollars on party poker 3 times in a row, each time getting my 20 to around 60. I am playing 25/50 cent blinds

On each occasion I have got KA, raised 3 times the blind, so to $1.50, and have had 1 caller.

The flop looked safe, like A,4,7

They Raised to around pot size, I re raised around double, they put me all in, now should this be were I should detect they have better then me? Well I sort of did, but still played, only for them to have 4,4 and beat me.

Sorry for the bad example and not providing proper stats, anyways after this I told myself "ok you should now be able to know when someone has flopped 3 of a kind and should be able to fold next time"

Problem is 2 times in a row almost the exact same thing happened, I had KA, hit either the K or A on flop, and ended up all in, I just can't fold it!!! Is this normal, or would most fold, how can I think about it more logically to get myself to fold here?

After thinking a bit more, I guess I can't put them on A,J A,10, if they had that they wouldn't all in me, well you wouldn't think so, I guess AK is a bit logical, also I should note before that the flops I got were rainbow flops, if the flops were all of the same suit and I didn't have any of them cards in that suit I would of justified my play a bit more

I know I shouldn't be playing 25/50 cent blinds with 20 dollars, but to be fair on Party Poker the most you can have had a 25/50 cent blind table is 20 dollars anyway.

Well 20 is the most you can bring to a 25/50 cent blind table at once, just because I put 20 on doesn't mean that is all the money I have, if I loose that 20 I put another on, so sometimes I may have put a good 100 on that day, if I could bring 100 to the 25/50 cent blind table I would

Put $50 in your account, and play the $0.01/$0.02 tables until you get $120. Then play the $0.02/$0.05 tables until you get $250. And so on. I am not joking. That is where you learn how not to (always) loose your stack with AK or AA or KK.

The guy who raises you on the A47 flop, what do you think he may have when he does that?

The first step is to admit to yourself that you suck at poker.
The second one is to listen to people who don't suck quite as much as you. You absolutely need to follow bankroll management.

Your nowhere near good enough to play the "25/50 cent blind tables" as you call them and be a winner. Just judging by your first post I know you need to spend a lot more time reading this site.

So you've lost 1.2 buyins at 50nl playing short-stacked? Oh the horror. I've lost 5 buyins in 5 minutes before. Deposit again and move down to 2nl or you'll get no sympathy from anyone here.

Did you try putting your opponent on a range?

{44,77,AK} seems like the range I would put someone on 3bet shoving me here with no stats/ no reads/ no position. I am at best splitting a small % of the time. The shove might be a bluff, but it seems like a fold most of the time if you have no reads. Wait for a better spot to get it allin.

I would never fold Kills Aids just because there's an Ace on the flop?

Bankroll and or Lower Stakes.

Flop raises span a range from total bs to 'you're screwed, i just hit my set.' The drier the flop and the more straight-forward or passive the villain, the more likely you're beat. With a wet flop, up against a tag or lag, you're often still ahead.

With AK, when you make TPTK, you are looking for three streets of value, but that's with villain calling you down. When you get raised on any street, you have to look at the total situation and decide if you want to go broke. It is not automatic to stack off with TPTK, even when you have AK.

I think I might know you're problem. You're not good enough for the level you want to play and your bankroll is not big enough for the level you want to play.

Really, we don't start from the bottom just because it's cheaper, we also start from the bottom because you learn to walk before you run. If you can't recognise when to fold AK TPTK, then please step down to a lower level (1c/2c) until you understand what it means to put someone on a range and then make mathematical decisions based on your equity vs his range, pot size and bet size.

If you're stubborn and just ignore everyone here and continue to play $50nl then it will be a very expensive way to learn the lessons. If you've got money to burn at poker, fair enough, but to have a serious crack at $50nl you'll need at least $1000, probably a lot more if you're not at the same skill level as your opponents. My bankroll is at $1000 and I still play 10c blinds because I don't want to move up until I'm comfortably beating my current level.

When someone shoves at you, you absolutely must put him on a range (you should do this at every action). Ask yourself what hands he could play this way with, not just shoving the flop but remember what happened pre flop too, ie did he raise, or call a raise? Are there enough hands in his range that you beat to make the call? Pay attention to the way that individual people play, and make notes if they are willing to go allin with say AQ on an ace high flop.

Are you running a HUD? Knowing how often people like to see flops is very important when deciding how reckless or solid a player is.

Honestly, I get the impression you're a fish. I'm not trying to be mean and call you names, I'm hoping it slaps you around the face and makes you realise that you're not good enough to play at the level you play at. There's nothing wrong with that, most people aren't good enough to play 50c blinds, but too many people think they can just sit down at a poker table and the money will come rolling in. You have to do the work if you want it to be more than a hobby that loses you money.
