5NL FR QJo in the BB - limped pot

Opp is 40/7 over 16 hands.

On the flop after he calls I have him on A3s,KcJc,KcTc,Kc9c,Q9s+,JcTc,Tc9c,9c8c,KQo,QTo+

The flush card on the turn is bad for my equity as it drops to 40% vs this range, but if I check I think he bets his entire range and I pretty much have to fold. Is it OK to b/f this turn even though I have less than 50% equity?

River does not change my equity much. Is it OK to block bet here? At first I was thinking thin value vs his worse queens because I did not realize on the spot that I was now tying with all his queens (paired board and A kicker on board).

I like how your bet sizes got smaller as the value got thinner. IP you could check back a street but oop there's not alot you can do. BTW I think his flop range is alot wider than that, like all pairs, aces and probably other garbage. WP.

Yeah I think so. Point is here that I am either tying or crushed so there is no value to be had and if I checked he would probably check behind with just a pair of Q if he is not retarded.

Yes and no, because on the turn I am still getting value from worse queens because the kicker still plays. Not so on the river, since the kicker is the A.

Also on the turn, if I don't bet and he pots or near-pots (possibly with a worse queen) I have to fold, so I would say the turn bet could be justified as thin value / blocking bet. Maybe.

So you're bluffing the river against a 40/7 for less than pot? The turn bet is fine btw.

Think he's talking about two different streets here philly. We're +EV vs villains calling range on the turn and b/f turn will be best here vs this guy, but on this river card things change, I don't see a contradiction.

Quite clearly not, it's just a value bet that's a bit too thin. No better hand folds some worse hands (although not enough to value bet this river) call sometimes.

A bluff, by definition is a bet designed to fold out better hands.This is clearly niether OP's aim or the case.

C/F river is std and fine.
