so he's new, with that i gave him all the range here like:
QQ, 1010, 77, KQ, QJ, flush draws, AQ, Q10, 107.... damn... i am somewhere 50%....


fold or shove?

I really hate these spots.

The flop min 3-bet doesn't look like a draw or TP, so folding is reasonable. But I hate raise/folding AA on a drawy flop. Without reads it's hard to say. Probably just go with it.

If you're truly 50% against his range (which sounds about right), then shoving beats folding because it doesn't give up your share of the current pot.

Ship now and cross your fingers or fold, but smells like set to me.

lets count:
QQ-3 1010-3 77-3

but if first limps QQ we can count these combos also:
KK-6 AA-1 AQ-12 KQ-12 QJ-12

if he is a fish could be Q10-9 and 107-9

so i get beat by 27 combos and i think he will call a shove with Qpair and overs so i beat 42combos. these numbers for sure make shove +EV. the question is, if he just calls to a shove set and folds rest, is still a EV+ play?

I sometimes get HUD problems with PT3 , the solution has usually been something other that a re-installation. Try the PT3 website,

Before looking into the call or shove scenario based on the range you give him here.

What range would you give someone new ,FR , limping in UTG+1 ?

well ussually monsters and any pair, but.... based on my experience at this stakes, 80% of players in 2nl and 5nl limp almost everything and some will call raises wit that shit.

but even so, monsters and pairs he is still on AQso+ , 22 plus, so again we are 9 set combos, 3 KK, 1 AA, and 12AQ combos. doing the math i am beat by 9 combos and i beat 15 combos. Again a shove is +EV.

this is in theory, but in practice he 4bets me by a minraise.... this makes me think that i should fold.

so, math says i am +EV for shove, instinct says fold.... what do i choose? what would you most experienced players would do with an unknow opp in this case?

Easier said than done mind u, cos many 5nl donks think TPTK is the nuts on a flop like this.

If you shove, just make sure u note down what he showed up with.

if he shoved 4bet i fold, set it's easier to assume, rather then TPTK on board, 2.5x raise again fold, but minraise?

he minraise is confusing, its a try to get of with his TPTK, overpair, or JJ, or is tryig to get me all in on his set?

you have the flush ace = flush draws are less likely than you think. I really don't like your flop raise sizing if you don't already know what you're doing vs a shove

look up, i said i fold a shove and a 2.5x reraise, the minraise is confusing.... shows me he has TPTK or wants me in with its set?

1) limp/call preflop from EP is often set mining, rarely AQ/KQ.
2) flushdraw less likely as mentioned before, b/c you have the flush ace, plus he'd probably check/raise with a flush draw for better fold equity
3) is it not a decent option to call his flop donk bet and re-eval turn? Mind that lots of turn cards will also improve your equity, even against a set (most clubs, king, jack, ace,...)

well, its nice when you play poker....

i shoved he snap called and showed Q10o.... havent improved and lost the hand...

thats the mos frustrating part here, cause all the logic is zero against donk players.

I would probably never fold this on these stakes and with all these draws. I think your shove was def. good.
