Operation Awesome (nsfw)
About to begin a fresh blog. After busting my own roll and blowing up a stake I´m gonna start out freezy fresh with a mini BR of $50. I´m fully aware that most of these rebuild-after-hiatus-projects are doomed to fail, but I´ll make sure to post pictures of women along the way to keep you folks entertained.

Oh come on guys, this thing needs some time. As I said elsewhere I graduated and believe it or not, I´m working full time nowadays. The job is pretty good but rather time consuming at the moment, I´m rarely home before 7 or 8.
Anyway, there has been a bit of a game of "poker". 2nl it is for now and I´m on a ridiculous heater for a starter. But hey, I know why you´re actually reading this, so your patience shall be rewarded greatly.

:h: everybody else, I hope you all had a great xmas time. I just got home again from visiting the familiy over the holidays and it´s been good times. I´ve got some really cool presents and think I picked the right gifts for my family and everyone was happy. There was downer tho, as I was going to buy myself a new DH ride for xmas, got a hold on something awesome, a 2nd hand FRO frame just to find out it´s got a hairline fracture where the upper suspension link is welded to the mainframe. I really do hope I can get my money back or else it´s 2k euro down the sink.
I´ve also played two more hands of poker and I can report that I am the bestest poker player in the world. Over a massive sample of 1.8k hands I´ve logged a very sustainable 83.57 bb/100. And don´t tell me it´s an "epic run goot"as you jealous persons might call it.
Anyway, here´s something beachy for the cold days.

Surprised how serious even 2NL has become. I wouldnt say it´s tough, but I can remember a time when 50NL wasn´t much tougher than this.
Not saying there´s anything else to be done than playing a straight forward value game. Even more interesting, aside the generally less sophistivated strategies people are playing, key is staying calm and rational. Let these players be making bad calls and dumb bluffs all day, their biggest shortcomings are tilting and interpreting the info available in a very naive fashion.

Agree about your thoughts on 2nl, I'm grinding a new roll from FPPs and currently at 2nl, the play is bad but often not terribad. Pretty sure it was inevitable that due to the saturation of information a level of competency would cascade down the poker chain, but you see so many misinterpretations or failed implementations of ideas that the overall standard of play is still poor regardless. I've played against people with a million+ hands at the micros that win at 2nl, start breaking even at 5nl and become losers at 10nl, and do funky stuff like 3bet FAR too much because, y'know, they should 3bet more and maybe that's why they can't win above 2nl. It's backwards thinking, they can't win above 2nl because they don't grow, they just click new buttons doing things they read about once but didn't fully understand, because they put in too much volume or just not enough time getting better.
And the fish are still fish. Lovely, lovely fish.

Happy new year everybody. I hope you all had a party as crazy and funny as we did. We went to Berlin to visit friends and ended up on a huge underground sort of party in an old industrial estate. Great fun, tons of weird people, cheap beer and booze, decent music. Then I made out with a close friend of mine, which got me banned from yesterdays breakfast table because her boyfriend wanted to punch me in the face. He didn´t tho, because he´s big and I´m small and because she convinced him that I´m an idiot not worth the hassle. Yay 2k-livin´ I have also sorted out all the bike stuff or at least the guy said he´s about to ship my money back.
I do also agree on people being funny fish, although I don´t like using the term. Apparently I am the biggest fish of them all ;) And yea, used for glue rocks. Very weird that rival school got blocked from our youtube within the past five days, so it´s only live version for me from here. What I can see on yt is this:

My poker goes. Grinding along 2nl, never imagined how much fun it can be, if you don´t rely on the money.

Regarding poker I´m already moving up. I told you that massive winrate was sustainable and that I was plain awesome.
Seriously tho, if hadn´t put so much work into my understanding of random events and hadn´t read a mirzion books about our minds perception of random events and about how my so called "brain" performs irrational stupidity at it´s finest when dealing wih stochastic events and values I could even think that my rapid advancement had any significance when talking about my poker skills. When we´re honest tho, it doesn´t mean a rats ass and when I´m honest with you I played exceptionally poorly and ran (slightly) above aiev. At the end of the day the lottery which is micros stakes blessed me with doubling the $50 bucks I had in 5.8k hands running 21/17/3/4.3 3b and 35% steal.
5nl it is now, we´ll see what Fortuna has in her pocket for me there. I think I´ll drop to 6 tables from there on. I will also need some sort of rakeback once I reach 10nl, any suggestions where small stakes are playing the nicest nowadays?

Good thing I can´t edit the thread title because if I could I´d feel obliged to update to "the blog of dreariness" or maybe even "don´t bother reading, bro"
You´d imagine I had a solid reason for that and fact is: I do. Working full time. Never thought a so called job could be so time consuming, rather stressful, but still deliver a strange satisfaction. It does feel alright to do important and complicated stuff. Nevermind the paycheck. Still I´m a bit off, I can´t really handle the moneys and am spending an insane amount on useless things to sort of fill the emptiness. Key-hangers (yea check them out because they make incredibly cool small gifts for the amazing people around you The String Doll Gang®, Handmade in Thailand - KAMIBASHI® ASIAN ART), shoes, books, food. This bothers me, because I don´t need all that junk and would be better off either saving most of it or at least giving it to someone nice.
I´m getting back into working out again. I signed up for a half marathon in april and have a strange but strong feeling that I (sadly) will have to kill myself in case I finish >1:30. Pretty cool thing happened yesterday morning in my email inbox, when New Balance Germany informed me that I won a wild card for this years FF strongman run. 18km with 2x16 manly obstacles. Mountains of gravel, swamps, seas, creeks, walls and whatever they´re throwing at us. Sort of that navy parcours I saw in Full Metal Jacket. I´m already in decent shape, but surviving that run is gonna be a tough call. I imagine my penis to grow 10% when I cross the line alive. Maybe I´ll even earn some chest hair if I make it <2:15.
Poker has not been happening in a while. I´m looking forward to playing some when the big projects at work come to an end.
