QQ on JJ4 vs maniac

villain is 50-30 over 30 and likes action. I like to give action, so we seem to be getting on just fine. He's won a pot or two from me when i decided my J9 on AQ4 was no good vs heat etc. Is this just too much faux level fps bullshit?

Either $5.5 or that. I haven't really done that ever, so I'm kind of curious what your results are in those spots. I assume you get called by 55+ a good amount.

id rather just jam on a board like 765 with a flush draw since there's tons of awful cards for your hand to come on the turn and if he has bottom pair, a draw (possibly even just overs and a gutter) he will stack off anyway. this board is just way too dry. he has nothing most of the time so you need to work on getting value from that nothing.

You will probably get him to stack off with a wider range by jamming than by betting big. And jamming a flushdraw on 568 is not so brilliant because that's exactly what he will think you have.

1/3 is ok as well in this case. But keep in mind that we also want to be able to build a pot to get a stack in, so it's not something I would overdo. Plus it's fairly transparent in the long run.

this is gold. What do you think is best re sizing in this particular spot?

i have to bet cos of reciprocal scare cards = those that make me hesitant as well as making him less likely to put money in if the don't hit him = any ace or king in this spot, which is like 15-20% of turns.
sizing is key, and yep, it's about getting value from his nothing. Do you think his calling range varies with sizing? if not then i like jam ;) there is possibly more value in betting small and getting him to retard0-check-shove though. Given spr this sizing will let me bet pot for allin on the turn even if he doesn't take the bait, but it looks super strong when i barrel blank turns.

Just check, you can gay ass bet the turn to induce if he doesnt bite and still get it in by the river if he calls. You have 2 methods of giving him rope and 2 streets to use them and only need 2 streets to get it in so use both methods of inducement in the correct order. Check flop and bet like 5 on the turn if he doesnt stab it himself. A lot of the time youll jus check flopand hel go bam bam with his air.
