Sooooooo, I'm about to start the grind. I lost my job (redundent, meh, wasn't much fun anyway), got a bit of cash and thought I might as well play the pokas for a living.
Background: Been playing poker for roughly 10 years, about 7-8 online. Have won and lost bankrolls (few $ks) but as a recreational player didn't mind - have won a lot more than I've lost BTW!!! Worked in insurance for last 8 years or so. Dull as f*ck but paid the bills.
Got made redundent as of last Friday (29/10/2010). Got some payout. Got a bankroll.
Gonna grind $100nl 6 max and see where I get to. If in 2 months time i don't get anywhere I have to find another job I guess....
Itinerary:
Up at 8am : Breakfast and coffee.
9am - 11.30am: play poker.
11.30am - 1pm: Bike ride, lunch, update blog.
1pm - 5pm: play poker
5pm- 6pm - study poker hands etc.
That's 6 & 1/2 hrs poker everyday, plus 1 hours study, going over hands, posting hands on FTR etc etc.
This is felxible. If theres a huge fish at the table or I have a very late night etc...but I';m really gonna try and get into a routine.
I'm playing on Everest (thanks for the heads up BSpahn) at the moment. I've got a good bonus ($500) and it's meant to be full of fish. I'm from London so can play on any sites. Gonna stay away from Stars and FT (though have a small roll on Stars to play on if drunk) for the time being - can't be arsed with a nitfest!
Gogogogogogogogo...
