I was considering driving to AC over the weekend and getting into a $1/$2 NL game. I'm just wondering if anyone here has ever played holdem in the morning. My one friend said that there are a lot of older and tighter players.

In the morning they are mostly older, "decent" players. Still a lot of money to be had though
Maybe I will catch the drunks hanging out after "hittin the club" ;)
def try to play at the taj, they have some of the most entertaining and hilarious dealers in the a.m.!
I like Harrahs and Borgata the best. I think I played at the Taj one time 2 years ago. The room looked really outdated.
older tighter players are the easiest/free-est money if you are remotely competent with the following concepts:
iso'ing limpers IP with wide ranges
multi-street bluffs
showing off bluffs
changing gears
I usually find older players in the morning but not all are that tight. Most have alot of dough as well. Obviously most are regs and your biggest win rate will be with drunks on the weekends and evenings but a tag can make a buck off these guys in the mornings too..
Should you play TAG with drunks too?
I switched up my style a lot in casinos. I find it best to wait for a solid hand and rarely ever bluff. You get AK...flop comes JT4...drunk guy gets a pair of 4s and will call you no matter what you bet. This is while playing 1/2 NL
^^ This is usually exactly how I play. I don't bluff alot on drunks as well because they will do just that most of the time, call with their bottom pair and beat you anyways. But when you land a solid hand they will call your shit to showdown and you rape face. Just my small personal experience with live poker. I don't like it as much as online poker sheerly because of the fact that it takes longer and you don't get near the same amount of hands in in a session.
Live, usually 1/2 NL sometimes less if I just want to have fun rather than really try to go crazy and make money plus it depends who's at the tables. Online I pretty much only play $200 and $300 Heads-Up SNGs.
Oh and I've been to a couple european tourneys and I use the same strat. There are a lot of rich europeans who throw money at pots that are -EV. I just wait for a bomb and rake it in.
