just sat down with villain this is second hand. it may be a bad thing but i dont give alot of credit to getting flatted by the blinds on this board and had a plan to bet flop enough to set up a 3/4ish ps shove on the turn on any non spade....not a great card on the turn but decided to stick with plan....i played with stove a bit and came up with
Board: 2c Ts 8s Kc
Dead:
equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 26.474% 26.47% 00.00% 431 0.00 { QdQs }
Hand 1: 73.526% 73.53% 00.00% 1197 0.00 { AsKs, AsQs, AsJs, KsQs, KJs, KcTc, KdTd, KhTh, QsJs, AcTd, AcTh, AdTc, AdTh, AhTc, AhTd, AsTc, AsTd, AsTh, KJo+, KcTd, KcTh, KdTc, KdTh, KhTc, KhTd, KsTc, KsTd, KsTh }
so i deduce that a check behind here with a plan to check call any weak bet on the river?????????
also ive been told that my pre raise was very suspect and should be smaller so im already aware of that.... critique away

"also ive been told that my pre raise was very suspect and should be smaller"
Smaller? You've gone 4x bb + 1 per limper, that's textbook, nothing wrong with your raise in my opinion. I think you can push it to 1500, but don't bet smaller whatever you do.
Flop, decent bet, but his flat call has me worried. Has he made his set? Not sure what else you can do on the turn though, you check and he obviously shoves, he's got no other move. I know the K isn't great, but it's not likely to have put him ahead, he was either way ahead on the flop, or he's still behind on the turn with 99 or maybe J9 spades. But this is my problem, there's just not that many hands he's calling this flop bet with that we're beating, while there's a lot that have us in terrible shape.
But, we're committed after the flop bet, as is he, so I can't see you've done anything wrong here.

It's worth asking, was this a mtt? Stack sizes make me think so. What was the buy-in? How may people are left? Where's the bubble? These factors might play a part in putting our villain on a range if we have no stats to go by.
