What does matter is that for all practical purposes I'm back to break even at life, back to living at my parents with no car and no money, and a net worth of something around 3.9 FPPs and $200. I guess I'll go ahead and do a mini update.

My mouse has been acting weird the past few days and finally died on me for good. When you left-click a lot of the time it doesn't click, and sometimes it left-clicks on its own, like when you fold in spots that cost you pots worth more than buying a new mouse (ie this morning). So I got a new mouse. Yippie. It's basically the same mouse I had before, which is cool since I like it a lot and all of my AHK scripts still worked with it out of the box for table positioning and everything. Trip to get the shit took a long time since I decided to get some food at Chili's and they were slow as fuck. My waitress was about a 7.5 and flirty but stupid as hell so I decided to pass.

I've been aiming for 6 hours a day at about 600 hands/hour. I'm not really pushing myself in terms of playing hours, but I'm doing review after every session and am trying to take care of my body and mind too, so I think that's what I'm going to stay at for now. I'm not really taking any days off or anything, but I don't feel like I'm at a hard enough pace that I need to.

Update: End of Week 1

While I planned to put in more volume than I did, I put in 30.35 hours for 19404 hands at 1.94 ptbb/100. I played much better the second half of the week, getting back used to 50nl or whatever you want to call it. You can clearly see it in my red line which is kind of funny in a way but it goes from \ to __ all of a sudden. Though I played better in the latter half of the week, I ran fairly bad all of a sudden around the 12.3k mark when Lee Jones decided I had not been punished enough for my sins.

Life has finally stabilized. Chelle and I are back together under a set of conditions that seem conducive to me not wanting to eat a bullet. I think the temporary break-up did her a lot of good and I think looking back years from now we're going to look at this past week and a half or so as a crucial turning point for her, and I guess myself.

I'll be under this staking agreement until the end of the month, and then I'll have to see where I'm at and how to proceed.

Today I read Forrest Griffin's book "Got Fight?" and it was really, really good. I think dthorne recommended it a while back and I finally found a PDF.

Probably helpful to know he's pretty loose and fairly passive. He'll call with a really wide range of hands on the turn but will rarely raise me without a flush.
