Villian is UTG with ~$300 he is pretty loose preflop, c-bets often
Hero is SB with ~$250 also playing a bit loose agro, probably a bit too loose on that day.
UTG raises to 7, folds around to Hero with

although hero should probably fold, hero decided to call

Hero hits bingo and checks, villian bets $12, hero raises to $30 villian makes it $90

Most villains are not messing around on this texture alot, and if they are they probably won't continue with the bluff after the flop anyway. So lets pump the money in the pot before scare cards hit and make him shut down.
Edit: we could probably talk about raise amounts too, and also about leading the flop.
You're OOP, with the nuts and a re-draw. He's UTG with a very strong range and he's 3-betting you on the flop. Why would you EVER not ship this?
Just get it in, he probably puts you on a FD.

I guess the question I have is we have a 195 pot, and I have another 150 and he has me covered. Will he call with any of those hands if I push?
I don't think he will call with a big pair. would you?
He will more then likely call with a set.
over card flush draw, he may call.
he will fold the rest.
Of the cards he would fold to a push, what turn card would get him to put more chips in the pot on the turn? Not many
Hitting his over card, hitting his flush draw, hitting his own straight, another bluff?
Then at the same time so many cards can be coolers. A spade,or pairing the board may be a cooler. Any T or 5 can be a cooler.
Am I thinking this through accurately? Cause now that I did, I see way more reasons to push then to just call. Please add your thoughts.

If this hand were blinds vs btn and you were c/r him a lot on flops, then maaaybe there could be some warrant to calling, if you had good reads and you put a lot of bluffs in his range. But he's UTG with a ton of value hands.

I think you are right, I was thinking I was way too ahead and needed him to improve to put more money in. But where is he going to improve, too many scare cards as well, plus it is unlikely more money will go in if he is bluffing. after 3 betting like that. Maybe I am over thinking it.Quote:
