Want a line check really. Not sure if I played this ok. I felt that I was mainly against sets or two pair hands with a small chance of made small flushes or one pair flush draw hands. The turn obviously stank but I don't think it changed anything apart from maybe scaring the villain a bit more and making it easier for them to fold when they were behind. Also not sure what I am doing if he reraises me on the flop apart from shoving.

Hadn't seen anything unusual about villain over 40 hands worth making a note on.

Call me crazy, but I probably just call the flop. It's already a scary board, our hand is not getting any worse, and there's no sense in over-repping the nut straight on a monotone 5-way flop. By calling, you should get UTG+1 and maybe even one of the others to call. Then when the turn is a non-heart and it checks to you, you can go ahead and value bet.

As played on the flop there's no real reason to shove the turn. As you said it's a pretty awful board. If Villain has A:h: he only has 8 outs to beat us. Two pair only has 4 outs. MP1 has $14.15 left? Betting $6 or $7 should be plenty to price out any draw that he has (even a set) while perhaps convincing him to call and see a river with 2 pair.

Why are we limping from the button?

I would probably iso this preflop, it's a pretty strong hand and we have position to take it down with a cbet alot of the time. Flop is kinda sick, as played I would fold turn.

limping due to three stations and I more than likely have no fold equity post flop and KJo sucks, I hate it. Having said that I do need to work on this area of my game. 3 limpers is not something I want to start with as they tend to price themselves in.

Maybe betting half to 2/3 pot turn might have been better than shoving but I don't think I could fold this given villains play where nutty hands rarely raise the first better with so many to act afterwords and being in position to the initial raiser.

Raise preflop, 3-bet much larger on the flop (notice the odds you're giving them to call).

Your excuse that they are calling stations is actually even more reason to raise preflop. You'll have a decent hand with position against players who have a wide range and call too much; this is also known as printing money.

Looks completely standard aside from the preflop limp. Just get the money in and worry about whether or not you were coolered later.

Your reason for limping sounds a lot like rationalizing a fear of playing marginal situations. K-J offsuit isn't as easy to play as A-A in this situation, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't raise.

I'm not recommending bet/folding. I would just rather see a smaller bet so that Villain is more likely to call with a hand we're beating.

More mistakes in this hand than I realised, thx guys. He folded btw - but the hand was giving me brain ache. Some really good points made.

DoanDiggy - Yeah I was also half responding to Muzzards misread, maybe I should have folded if he shoved though.

wow 3.50 in call pot of 10.60. I should have made this at least 7.50 and probably 8.00. I've just moved up and am having trouble with bet sizing but should have spotted this.

Your right about printing money as well - I don't know why I am having trouble with it. Raise, hit a medium value hand and take half their stack a third of the time and don't try to bluff them off it cos they dont fold.

I like limping here a lot.

Raising does a bunch of things that I may rather not do with KJo.

o Encourage the weakest hands to fold.
o Build a bit pot with lukewarm offsuit broadways (big pots for big hands.)
o Set-up an expectation we'll c-bet post-flop (multi-way!) Free cards are fun and all, but a lot of times we'll check through and hit a K or J and have no clue where we're at in the hand.

I would have made it like $7 at least on the flop, probably more like $8 or $10. This spot just SCREAMS for an over-bet.
