Preflop: I have been working on not calling 3bets OOP. However, in a multi-way pot with such a tight villain at CO, would it have been wise for me to 4bet? I am getting 3.38:1 odds on my call preflop. I am putting BB on TT+, AQo+, AJs+. CO, however, would be QQ+, AK. Are these ranges reasonable?

Postflop: I was basically hoping for an ace or deuce to get me out of this rut. Was it wise of me to just call or should I have raised to represent aces? Or should I have gotten rid of the hand altogether with CO behind me?

I'm pretty bad in 3bet pots and this hand showed it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just my random thoughts FWIW....

1. I guarantee you CO’s 3b range is not 2.4% from the CO. It’s prolly wider. And it looks like BB likes to play hands… altho’ a small sample.

2. AKs is nice multi-way. AKo not so much. Think why you’re playing AKo, and I’m guessing it’s not ‘cause you think you’re gonna flop QJT. It’s a TPTK kinda hand (mostly) and that sh!t don’t like being deep in the middle of a 3way. MP2 is obv outta the picture.

3. Based on that, I like this as a chance to squeeze. I’d prolly take it to 6.5, as I’m what, 45% vs 22-QQ with obv blockers vs AA/KK and the money already in the pot’ll make up for the that. What I really want to do is end up HU.

4. That makes the flop easy. Shove… you’re already committed.

5. As played, I might fold to flop bet (you got 2 OCs in a 3 way that could easily hit BBs PF calling range). You could call, but if you spike an A or a K then what? If I float the flop, I’m not happy calling the turn. You’ve got bad relative position to the bettor, and you got sh!t vs. someone prolly having at least something.

Oh… and I don’t like the idea of bluffing into a 3way pot on that board. I’m not sure the dude that just flopped the set, straight or straight draw gives a sh!t that you’re repping AA…. And the 2 gives you the retard end of the straight, that you’re splitting with anyone else who has an A and losing to anyone who has a 6.

In response to the squeeze play, wouldn't I be squeezing the wrong person? I feel CO has a strong hand that wouldn't fold to a squeeze. However, I'm not well-versed in squeeze plays so feel free to rip that idea apart.

CO is 3betting a MP open... so if he actually thinks, he's putting you on a weaker range than say UTG, and he's gonna benefit from position so 3b wider from the CO. You're 40% vs a 3% range, and 43% if he's a little looser at 4% (which w/ that stat and relative position could easily be) With BBs money in too, I think you're in good shape vs his range to squeeze. Some visibility into his fold to 4-bet would be nice, but on that sample size, statistically insignificant. But you likely have some Fold equity as well.

It's also possible that CO (who is the more thinking player possibly...) will fold to the 4-bet and BB will make a loose call or shove, putting you against an even better range.

I just think you've got enough things going for you to try and force this to heads up, at the same time eliminating your positional disadvantage of being in the middle. As you found out, this position gets increasingly funky pretty damn fast as the hand plays out....

Re-raise pre-flop. The short stacks are never folding and getting AK/QQ/JJ/TT out of the hand is a pretty big win for you.
