10NL : Trappy Trappy Donks

Villian Stats : (VP$IP/PFR [Street Aggression] 3-bet%)

MP : 36/10 [inf inf inf] 0% over 51 hands.

My Thoughts And Questions

Villians seems quite loose and not so aggressive especially preflop.

So a limp/min3-bet just screams strength, but i have the right hand to crack AA/KK and position. So the pot laying me 4 to 1 and 22 to 1 with implied odd (does this make sense ? i am calling 30c at 4 to 1 and he has about 18x30c left on his stack). So i make the call.

So his range imo is AA-KK. When he checks to me i think checking behind here is bets given his range. Gonna get blown off with AAA and prob not gonna get KK to fold with one bet. So check behind looking to spike a diamond.

When he checks to me again on turn with two flush draws out there i decide its time to take a stab as his hand is looking a lot like KK now. When he goes for the min c/r i am thinking on you are trying to be a silly trapping donkey with AA, but i will take the odds and call for the flush draw.

So given all the above when i river trips is a fold here good ?

OP, he can has AA you should have checked the turn to catch a flush
when you river the 9 you can call a river bet, of course because he could have KK


as played folding seems gross, but he got almost no value out of his hand... almost seems OK on the off-chance he does have AK
you only need to be good 20.9% of the time

20.9% feel like a lot with his line.

I just couldnt help but bet the turn after he checked two streets.

if he has a totally random hand we have showdown value
if he has what we think he has then we have no fold equity and we're drawing to the flush only

Do you think the odds are exactly split towards him doing this with both KK and AA?

I mean if it's exactly 50/50 this is obviously a call. But as the tendency weighs more towards AA, and AA only, the less likely to call You're getting 7.5-2, so as his range approaches a 70% weight towards aces, your tendency shouldlean towards folding.

This assumes your range is accurate. I wonder if he's doing this with a tiny pocket pair too.

after the turn minraise we can conclude he has better than one pair already

iopq why are we discounting AK because of the limp/3bet line? this makes no sense:

I think the guy min raised preflop to see his hand's position and your hand's position. He is now sure you don't have AA or KK. He possibly has an A J or AQ or a pocket pair. After those checks on flop, he believes his hand is good and bets on the turn.

I've seen people limp/raise AK but its less common. Turn should be checked back. Flat river.

Why do you bet the turn?

although those are not the only hands in his range
there's also 22 and 77

seriously he never has AK here
